I have brown hair that looks red in the sunlight. I wanted to do a dark auburn hair color but I dont know what to do. I just need a change.

looks like you got great hair but if you go in the millitary then u should try gettting it darker like dark brown- it camoflauge in the dark.

My niece is in the Navy and they get after her for her hair all of the time. The sun bleaches it out so it looks highlighted in the summer. They want one color with no variation. Make sure the auburn color is a natural color and not too drastic of a change. If you have a very fair complexion the dark auburn may make you look too pale. Whatever the color you decide on be sure and color your eyebrows, It is very easy to spot colored hair if it is drastically different than the brow color.

If you get one of those color enhancing shampoos it will make your hair redder and shinier w/o having to go through all that application and waiting and growing out nonsense...

When I went through basic, they made all the girls who had dyed hair dye it to their natural hair color. Just leave it natural.

I think in the military, you will be told what colour you will look best in. They're not big on individualism.
