GO TO WWW.DRPHIL.COM ABOUT THIS.

BEDWETTING CAN BE PSYIOLOGICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL.

PUNISHMENT AND HUMILIATION ARE NOT THE ANSWER. THEY CONTRIBUTE TO AND PERPETUATE THE PROBLEM.

CONFIDENCE, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND SUCCESS HELP, AND NOT BEING SO AFRAID TO FAIL THAT THEY GIVE UP TRYING OR MAKE THEMSELVES FAIL.

IT COULD BE THAT THEY HAVE A SLEEP DISORDER, OR A SIGNAL INTERRUPTION IN THE BRAIN, POOR SPHINCTER CONTROL, OR THEIR BLADDER NEEDS TO BE STRETCHED TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE 8oz OF FLIUD.

OR IT COULD BE RELATED TO ANXIETY, FEAR OF FAILURE, FEAR OF NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH TO PLEASE THE PARENTS, OR SOME OTHER ANXIETY.

I used to a long long time ago when I was little. It was very embarrassing to me to say the least! Do not punish any child for this problem, they can not help it. I didn't stop until after I became a teenager.I finial just out grew it. We did everything that we could think of for me to stop. No drinking a hour before bedtime. Mom and dad would wake me up before they went to bed, most of the time I would already be wet by then. Nothing worked at all. I did have a plastic sheet on my bed to protect my mattress.
