no, it doesn't guarantee prosperity. the Lord will do with us as he pleases---we may do well and be prosperous here on earth and then again we may not. it is up to the Lord.
i think you people with your message of prosperity are barking up the wrong tree.
you should worship the Lord because of your love for him---not because you may get money and a Mercedes out of the deal.
i think a lot of these prosperity 'cults' are bad news. my brother belongs to one---it seems like every time they pray they're praying for prosperity----and i don't think God ever promised us prosperity.
Jesus even said that some of us would suffer and die if we took up our cross and followed him. that doesn't sound like prosperity to me.
i think you prosperity geeks are on the wrong path.

It certainly tells the TV evangelists that they are meant to prosper. Just think Magee is paid over a million a year for doing the 'Lords' work and Robertson is a Billionaire. Maybe it's the preachers and not the flock that are supposed to prosper.

Have you not read that God has blessed us with a position in heavenly places? That we are saved by grace through faith? Christ died a bloody death on a cross to reconcile us to God, presenting US holy, blameless, without fault. He was our representative to God, he was our substitute who died our death, paying for our sin debt. Not his....he has no sin.
So how could we be possibly blessed any further? What you've been reading is the LAW my friend. The law pertains only to the nation of Israel, all 630 laws. Even in your first scripture, it has God speaking to ISRAEL saying "This book of the LAW shall not depart from thy mouth...." When Israel obeyed the law, their way was nothing but prosperous and good success.
Remember Moses talking about how "I set before you cursing and blessing?" Cursing is when they didn't obey God's LAW and blessing is when they did.
Deuteronomy is one of the book of the LAW, talking about how: "Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that thou mayest prosper in all you set your hand to."
"Honor the Lord with thy substance...." Remember 2 people that held back their substance, and they instantly fell dead when they lied to the Holy Ghost? Ananias and Saphara....
Remember the Apostles? They gave everything they had up to follow Christ! In turn, their numbers grew, possessions were all as one, and that grew.....so on and so forth!
God blessed Israel with the LAW program, so that the Kingdom of Heaven/Kingdom of God on earth can be ushered in through Israel as his nation of servants and priests, obeying his soveriegn law.
God blesses EVERYBODY today with a heartbeat, and a faith who believes in the Son of God by GRACE, which is through what he accomplished by his death on the cross for our sin debt.

Obviusly Israel didn't hearken to Gods words, they have been attacked and destroyed many times. Infact Jerusalem is the most rebuilt city to my belief, i think it has been destroyed about 29 times.
btw - in Heaven we will prosper =)

"He will not give much thought to the days of his life, becasue God lets him be taken up with the joy in His heart."
" God gives prosperity and happines to those who pleases Him."

You have the truth. Why question it? It is what it is. God's word is truth that stands forever. Prosperity is for everyone as long as you believe it...and receive it...by faith...

i do think they say that, upon a quick scan, but other scriptures, conveniently not quoted, say other things - like, "have sex with your father, girls!"
Genesis 19:30-38
Contemporary English Version (CEV)
View commentary related to this passage
Moab and Ammon
30Lot was afraid to stay on in Zoar. So he took his two daughters and moved to a cave in the hill country. 31One day his older daughter said to her sister, "Our father is old, and there are no men anywhere for us to marry. 32Let's get our father drunk! Then we can sleep with him and have children." 33That night they got their father drunk, and the older daughter got in bed with him, but he was too drunk even to know she was there.
34The next day the older daughter said to her sister, "I slept with my father last night. We'll get him drunk again tonight, so you can go to bed with him, and we can each have a child." 35That night they got their father drunk, and this time the younger sister slept with him. But once again he was too drunk even to know she was there.
36That's how Lot's two daughters had their children. 37The older daughter named her son Moab, [a] and he is the ancestor of the Moabites. 38The younger daughter named her son Benammi, [b] and he is the ancestor of the Ammonites.
Footnotes:
1. Genesis 19:37 Moab: In Hebrew "Moab" sounds like "from (my) father."
2. Genesis 19:38 Benammi: In Hebrew "Benammi" means "son of my relative."
that's ONE way to prosper, i suppose (though illegal, in most countries, nowadays)...
