I have had braces and had them taken off about two years ago. I still have two on my bottom teeth with a wire across the back. the doc said my bottoms were very delicate and he advised to keep it on for at least a year if not longer if no discomfort. it feels fine, but my mom says i need to take it off. Is there anything harmful if i would rather keep it on? Stainless steel, i think. I train in MMA and i feel it gives more support( dont want lose teeth )!

Not sure why your mom wants you to take them off but really the best advice on this issue has to come from your dentist. Ask for a check up and a chat.

Your dentist is right. Keep them on because your teeth will otherwise revert to their previous state. You can hang for a year, can't you?
