why is it that both Christians and Left Wingers hate on liberal christians. I believe in God very strongly and have a deep faith..My political veiws are slanted slighty to the left for patroitic reasons. Why do so many people take pride in bashing the other side?? This is serious,..."can't we all just get along"....I mean, as a christian, you should love everyone..as a liberal, you should be tolerant of others even if thier views go against your values..why can't a middle ground be found???

Please no Haters, real answers!!

Thank you. I am a Liberal Christian. I have been told many times that I cannot belong to Jesus because i am a liberal. they question my faith. my love for my LORD. they question my morals. Jesus saved my life. 3 months ago I was going down hill. i was sinking fast. It was only the Love of Jesus that saved me. I am a saved Christian.

I have never put anyone down or ever question peoples values why can't people show Us they same respect. God Bless You for posting this question. Have a Great night :)

Bravo!
Finally, someone else that is proud to be open minded and believes in Christ!

It would be a pretty world with more people loving each other, or at least, not hating each other.
How nice it would be to see someone that you know and not label them by how they vote, or how they little they donate to church, or how they feel about having a loaded gun in the same house as a 4 year old.
How peaceful it would be if people would just think to themselves instead of saying things like, "up yours" or you're nuts, or "you cheap-azz Republican/Democrat", etc.

What if we just got along with others by keeping silent after hearing a different opinion, refusing to argue, refusing to whine, refuse to judge others for a year?
Wouldn't it be worth a try to improve ourselves?
Wouldn't it be great to help the poor, the homeless, the elderly and the handicapped without looking for a receipt afterward?

That's meeting in the middle! Christian values without judgment or commitment to a political party.

I'm not a Christian, but I wanna answer.

I totally appreciate your question and views. Does being Christian equate right-wing conservative with no room for debate? Absolutely not. I was Christian for most of my life, and my political views, except for abortion - absolutely, also lean toward the left. I never agreed with right-winged politics, nor did I ever vote GOP. I too wish that right-conservative Christians would stop hating on those who lean toward the left.

Yes folks, it possible to follow Christ toward the left. He can be found there too, lol. "Liberal" isn't a dirty word.

I think we can and do for the most part get along. I have no problem with you believing in God...so you shouldn't have a problem with me not believing in God...that sounds to me like a reasonable middle ground....I don't know why there is so much hatred in the world...sometimes I think that everyone is so unhappy with their own lives that this hate just spews out of them..Answers--sorry I don't have any.

those tea occasion nuts frighten the hell out of me. i'm no longer somewhat enamored with Obama, however the lack of expertise and racism that has been maximum important at those tea events is disgusting and downright frightening. those nuts have shown as much as Obama city halls and rallies donning loaded fireplace arms, and those each and every physique is thoroughly oblivious to historical past and what's easily occurring interior the international. thankfully, those nuts in elementary terms make up a small faction of the balloting inhabitants, yet sufficient to get loons like Michelle Bachman elected and supply Glen Beck the rankings he desires to stay on the air. whilst Bush became president, there became various animosity from liberals. in spite of the shown fact that it became reflective of coverage, no longer paranoia. They hated Bush for what he DID, no longer what they thought might take place. it somewhat is the variety. Conservatives are indignant over the bailout, deficits and such. and that they have a stunning to be. yet the place have been those tea partiers whilst Bush became in workplace racking up record deficits, and it became he who became president whilst the bailout surpassed. the place's the outcry over that? somewhat, those ignorant loons forget approximately approximately certainty and blame Obama using fact of their partisan and racial bigotry.

I don't "hate on" anyone. However, I will argue with anyone I think is wrong. Yes, I'm generally the black sheep of the church, but honestly, does it matter? If people are too dumb to develop a relationship with you and would rather bash you, tell them nicely to go to Hades, and shake the dust from your feet...

Unfortunately you are between a rock and a hard place. The fundaMENTAL xtians don't like you because you are liberal and in their eyes not a "real" xtian. Ironically the fundaMENTAL xtians give you all a bad name and are much of the reason other groups don't like you as well. To me, tolerant thinking xtians such as yourself are the only "real" xtians in the world. In my experience liberal xtians walk their talk and that's what's important to me.

well one, liberalism has no room for God...
two, not all Christians hate liberal Christians...but i don't understand the concept of liberal Christian...because we read the same book don't we...the Bible...you are correct that as Christians we are to love everyone...but please don't interpret love as accepting everything someone does...because we do have the Bible to guide us as Christians...once you stray from that...it becomes twisted...

Godlessness in the Last Days
1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

a form of godliness but denying its power...those people who call themselves Christians but still choose to live sin because they love the world more than they love Jesus...
