On my transcript it says that i am 169 out of 361. How do I determine by class rank in percentage with these numbers.

divide your score (169) by the number of people in your class (361) and you'll get 0.468. Now multiply that by 100 (which is the highest possible score in terms of percentage) and you get 46.8. Round that puppy off to 47 and your standing is 47%, which places you in the lower half of your class.

You should have come in sooner. Maybe we could have helped with the homework.

It's just a number though...don't let it get you down.

Taking more classes and doing well in them could improve your gpa. As far as I know, gpa is the only basis for determining class rank. All the other things you mentioned would be considered for college admission but I do not believe they contribute to class rank.

169 divided by 361 = 46.8th percentile. You are in the second quartile, or the top 50%, of your class.

Go to your councelor and ask him for an unofficial transcript and it'll say somewhere on the transcript.
