Is it wierd for a girl a guy's known for maybe three days to approach him in class and start a conversation if they're in the same class? It doesn't sound to complicated, but I have a hard time doing it. What should I do?

Don't over analyze it. It's called being outgoing. And there's no way to 'not have a hard time doing it' aside from forcing yourself to. Do it enough and you'll probably find that being 'outgoing' comes easier and easier the more you do it.

It's not weird at all. Just say hello as you pass or go up to her and say it. You are not a stranger to her, you are in the same class and, you have known her now for three days. Once you say hello watch her expression she may smile or give you some other sign that she wants to talk to you too! She may be felling the same way you will never know until you make that step.

Sometimes we are unable to control our emotions. Suppose we see some good or beautiful things, then we can hardly stop ourself from saying "WOW" or "BEAUTIFUL". This is a similar thing, if the guy or the girl finds someone beautiful, attractive or maybe charming, then its really hard to control oneself.
But yes, there is also a chance that guys or gals may try to flirt. As every relationship needs some time, I think before saying yes or no to it some time should be spent as friend.

I don't think it's weird. Just start talking about something mentioned in class that day, either a question about something or maybe talk about an upcoming assignment.

I guess today nothing is wierd... I live in West L.A. I think I have seen it all.....
You are in your youth, enjoy your moments, don't worry about boys, you will have lots of time to worry about them.... Let me come to you if they are interested and if they are, dont give them the time of day, they will want you more.

umm..when he is talking to someone sorta look at him till he notices that u r looking at him, then quickly look away, but then peer back a little bit and if he is still is looking at u, give him a nice refreshing smile and look down a little bit and go back to what u were doing..
and then after a minute write a note saying, HI..or something real simple like that, and if he writes back see what he writes to u
if he writes hi back, u got him interested
so write back and ask him a question, like what kind of things do u like or something like that..
