I certainly don’t believe in God, any God for that matter, but many people do, sadly to say. Most religious people seem to think that their God is a good God, still alive and well, and just waiting for the moment to welcome them into Heaven.

When you look at all the venomous religious posters on Yahoo Answers, you can surely understand why religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began. If we put most of these Yahoo posters into a room together, all hell would breakout and we’d have another war.

If you believe in a God, no wonder he fled the scene and rejected humanity. Why would any God want such rubbish around him. The only thing we hear about God comes from people speaking on his behalf, namely cult leaders and followers, most of whom are lunatics and war mongers.

Sorry folks, but your fantasy God has left the scene and rejected humanity. Say no to religion and go out and enjoy your life instead.

You know, if there was such a thing, maybe "God" moved to the Andromeda Galaxy? Twice the stars, twice the brilliance, twice the potential for something really intelligent to evolve. We are killing and polluting our own nest here. Can you name one thing in which the Earth would not be better off without humans? I don't think so. Oh, except there would be nobody to appreciate a glorious sunset. But again, that just serves the human, not the planet. Sad but true. If we could live in symbiosis with our one and only home, what a wonderful world this would be. Start with getting rid of the infernal combustion engine.

Humanity has rejected God. It's obvious when the ACLU threatens to sue a school for a student saying a prayer at graduation, or a city for having a cross in the city seal. But you can't blame the ACLU alone. When these things happen Christians should stand up for what they believe in and not be intimidated by a law suit.
Regarding your comment about "venomous posters". A true Christians speech is not venomous as you say.
I pray that you'll have a change of heart about believing in God. Maybe one day you'll realize that God is real.
God Bless

Well, your little fantasy that I just read, is just that...FANTASY. If you don't believe in God how can you tell us about Him? As far as the venomous posters, most of them are from people like you, not the believers. You're not fooling anyone, so at least be honest with yourself.

Just because you are dead to the spiritual doesn't mean it doesn't exist. God IS, and He is Spirit. Just because you are blind doesn't mean others can't see. You are not the standard... Sorry, honey, but your fantasy about God is not true, He IS alive and well. And your silly rant is not going to make a bit of difference to anyone. It may cause us to feel pity for you maybe.

And by the way, our level of enjoyment of life has a dimension you know nothing about. Say yes to God and you may find it. You have no idea how much fun you're missing!

I believe in God the Creator, Jesus the Savior, and the Holy Spirit, the comforter.

But you have the right to believe what you want to believe.

That is the way things are, and don't be blaming all of this on Christianity, it is true wars break out, but it could just as easily be blamed on the ones that DON'T believe. Since Christians don't believe in killing, maybe they have been defending themselves, from cults, and non believers.

Why is the blame always put on Christians. I will tell you, because Jesus said that we would be continuously persecuted because of Him, but that is okay, when the last breath is drawn on this earth, I will be walking with my Savior, and enjoying His company.

I think it is the other way around. God has not rejected humanity, humanity has rejected God ( of any kind) you are a perfect example. Also, believing doesn't mean you can't enjoy life!!! Good Luck in the afterlife. Maybe I will see you in the smoking and drinking section of heaven!! Good Luck!

I can agree to say no to religion; however, I say a resounding yes to spirituality! God hasn't rejected humanity at all! We are all divine and made in the image of our Creator. For Him/Her/Them to reject us is to reject theirself/themselves. This planet was an experiment in free will. You can see where that got us! We're only as disconnected from our source as we believe we are. Damn, that free will bites you in the butt every time you turn around!

Those that seek God need look no further than themselves. There they will find the best and the worst that our Creator has to offer.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
God Never Rejects Mankind....
He still loves all..
There is salvation for Every Man.

Our loving Lord Jesus,

You died for our sins and iniquities about 2000 years ago. Father, You were pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities and the punishment that brought us peace was upon You. Therefore, we approach the Throne of Grace with confidence, so that we may receive Your grace and mercies whenever we are in times of need.

The Scripture says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. My eyes are upon You this hour. Father God, please forgive and forget all the sins that I have committed against You. I offer my body as a living sacrifice to You Lord. Enable me, not to be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Pour out Your Spirit upon me in an abounding measure and purge off the undesirable things in me, which are not pleasing to Your sight.

The Living Word says that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, then we will be saved. Accordingly, I rely totally on Your word Lord. Create in me a clean heart and restore to me, the joy of Your salvation. Save and justify me by Your divine grace because it is by Your grace that we are saved through faith and not from ourselves, and it is a gift from You alone. Thank You Father for redeeming me with Your most precious blood which You shed for me on the cross of Calvary. I thank You a million times Father, for transforming my life according to Your Word that "if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come!" I thank You and praise You Lord.

Amen.

I find it interesting that you don"t believe in God, but you chose to spell his name with a capital G, which indicates a proper name.
As for the sadly to say part, please don't be sad, I believe, and have nothing to be sad about.

To answer the question, No, God has not abandoned us, we choose to abandon him. We choose to let greed, lust, envy and hatred rule our lives. We who have been given the right to make our own life choices choose to distance ourselves from him. As a parents allow children to learn from mistakes, so too does God allow his children.

As far as religion is concerned, please don't mistake it with faith. Many claim to speak on behalf of a particular religion, but choose to put their faith in themselves, or their bank account. As you pointed out, we only hear from the loonies, sadly this is probably because their self praise is stronger than faith in God (if they have any at all).

The major religions of the world are all founded on the same basic principles: Faith in God (whatever they choose to call him); Love and respect for your neighbour; Belief in some form of afterlife. It is only the twisted words of man which causes problems.

"God's love is unconditional. Nothing you do can make him love you more. Nothing you do can make him love you less".

Please, don't blame God for what men do in his name.

Evil men are always willing to kill and fight wars and then blame it on religion. It's just an excuse.

It's people of real faith who are willing to risk their lives to pick up the pieces, heal the wounded, free the oppressed, the enslaved, open the gates of the concentration camps, and restore hope.

You can join us and still enjoy your life, ya know.
