why do we have so many people here who is againts the religion of islam? do they know that they shouldn’t believe everything that is shown on tv and newspapers? they really shouldn’t make nasty comments if they know little bout it. Do u like if people talk bad bout your religion?

hmmm, there was this incident where some muslims blew up a van in the parking garage of the world trade center.

then, there was this incident where some muslims tried to sink the USS Cole---their attack caused massive damage to the ship and killed American servicemen.

then, wasn't there an incident where muslims drove a truck full of explosives into the barracks of some US Marines stationed in Saudi Arabia? didn't they kill a lot of US Marines?

then i seem to remember something about muslims flying planes into the world trade center, the pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

i say that muslims have no friggin regard for human life. i say the problem should be eliminated.

because too many people have trained themselves to become too lazy to think for themselves. they just want easy answers. Having said that, there are a lot of poeple that do understand Islam for what it really is without being Muslim.

First off, ur answer had nothing to do with the question. You discussed Christianity,and how Christianity does not work with reason. My question to you, are all religions alike? Read on, and wrong you will be proven!

If you read more about Islam, the first message given to it's messenger is this word: "READ". Education is required for all Muslim male and female. Reason and logic went hand in hand with Islam, and science and technology flourished during the Islamic civilization. The first college was estatablished in Fez, Morocco. A few names from Islamic civilization: Avicenna, Khawarizmi, Khaldun, Ghazali, Saladin, and Ammar ibn Ali who invented the injection syringe to extract eye cataracts. We're talking about a thousand years ago here, not a few decades.

European scientists should be thankful to the Muslim libraries left behind in Cordoba when the Christians conquered Spain from the Muslims.

Islam had a golden age when its followers were not as concerned about the earthly gains. Muslims are where they are now because of prioritizing the wrong elements of life. In any case, I've never heard of Christian Golden Age. Today cannot be labelled as such for the Christians, for one thing, this age has caused more atrocities and murder than any age known to mankind.

Finally, Islam spread mostly by word of mouth, and not through oppression or forceful submission as so many have been lead to believe. The people of Malaysia, Indonesia (the world's largest Muslim nation), and XinXiang province of China all converted into Islam through contact with Muslim traders. And even when Muslims conquered the land, they never forced people to become Muslims. Proof to that is the fact you will find Arab speaking christians and jews. And finally, the Muslims assimilated with the people in the land they conquered, which is why you may find different cultures in different Muslim nations. They did not conquer to subjugate the people of the land, they did it to spread what they believe to be the truth. Al-Maghreb (present day Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia) was never conquered by force, but converted after they learned of Islam. Sharp contrast to what happened in Latin America.

Yes we have so many people who hate and are against with Islam religion because :
1)They are many people who since their births are educated by their parents in non Islam religion.Can you imagine in China which its inhabitants more than 3 billion,most of them are non muslims and also in India which has a population one billion most of them are hindhus.
2)The born non muslim people are not aware that there is Islam the best religion .They do not know the thorough knowledge of Islam.They know only a little of it and they are lazy to learn and accept the new religion that is much different with their ancestor'
s religion or believe.
3)Their environments or surroundings do not support for a comparative study of other religions including Islam.They have no library with a complete Islamic teaching books written by muslims in their language.
4)They have a bad image of Islam by reading a misleading books and newspaper written by non muslim writers and journalists,that Islam is evil.terrorist,religion for the poor only,Islam give right to muslim to marry more than one wife up to four.,muslims will kill non muslim etc
5)Muslim teachers or ulamas/ustadz do not go to and can be accepted by their societies to explain all about Islamic teaching
so they do not know the whole and right picture of Islam
6) Modern communication on Islamic information such as TV and news papers can not reach them due to no support from their non muslim governments
7)Muslims as a minority member of population of a state have no the same right with the majority people in non muslim religion.They are pressesd and has very limited right.Their government is afraid that muslims will rebel and be their enemy due to Islamic teaching wanting democracy and equality and freedom in all sectors especially in economy and politics

There are an awful lot of people on this site who are against Christians too.

There are a lot of Islamic people who are against Christians.

There are a lot of Jewish people who are against Christians.

And so forth.

The point is, if you are Islamic, think of reasons why some Islamic people are again Christians or Jews and consider that there is an arguement similar to that used by Christians and Jews against Muslims. It's actually very simple, AND SIMPLE MINDED!

I think its more about the time we are living right now,but also about the fact that it is diff rent than the religion we our self are used to.Anger is a fine motive for people to use when your own country comes under fire. So maybe when its all over people will view things in a diff rent way.

Here's why -- not every islamic is a terrorist, but EVERY terrorist is islamic. Sane people cannot understand how a parent can strap a bomb to his twelve year old girl and send her into a cafe in the name of islam.
So what else do we really need to know here? Until islamic leaders publicly condemn this behavior (which they DO NOT) islam will suffer credibility.

Not just Islam, also Christianity and all other religions. However, Islam is definitely one of the worst that's for sure.

Christianity and Islam like to kill their fellow human beings.

I know there are many nice people who believe in God, but the real evil amongst us, are the vast majority of religious followers and believers who have clearly shown over time to be the major instigators of wars, violence, abuse, greed and practically everything evil on our planet.

Even according to Genesis in the Bible, God is clearly the greatest mass murderer in history. The Bible is full of terrible atrocities and evil, far more than nice things, but of course believers will just ignore or twist the atrocities into whatever soothes their confused minds.

Everyone knows of murders and violence associated with Christianity and Islam, I suppose all of the other major religions have a track record of killing their fellow human beings as well.
