I think a lot of churches teach that theirs is the only true way and therefore followers buy into it in order to mindlessly follow what they are being taught. However, there are some churches that teach that there could be many ways and that we don't really know all the answers and we should take what the Bible gives us and work through it in a logical way. Not by just blindly following. I wish everyone would remember that even though the Bible is the word of God it was still written by man.

When you're right, you're right. Sorry, but I have to say I am close minded. But I do listen to ideas from others who are not Christians. I don't critisize or mock anyone's faith, God did give us a free will. The others you refer to are not acting very Christ like. If they only knew the damage they were doing, or how foolish they looked, they would probably stop.
By the Way, you know Christians are not the only ones doing this. Muslims, Jews, Wiccans, every faith has it's bad examples.

I think for many people, their faith becomes intimately tied to who they are as a person, and therefore, faith becomes equal to existence. When a person's faith is questioned or threatened in some way, their very sense of self, or perhaps very existence, feels threatened, and so they strike back (fight or flight reflex probably). It's very hard for people to be objective about their own existence. Of course, I could be wrong, but that is what seems to be happening.

I love to sit down and listen to other peoples faiths, and look at their doctrines. Most of the time i will say well i don't believe this because "point to scriptures", but its good to listen to what other people believe, you have to be open.

It's human nature to be offended when some one says that you are wrong. No one wants to admit they were wrong, so they mock and belittle those who don't believe as they do to prevent the accusation from coming up in the first place.

I don't know you have in mind. Some of us KNOW Truth and others only wish they did.
I don't care what a church teaches someone, like one person said.
What does GOD HIMSELF teach?
Anytime you want to compare notes on Christianity with me, my friend, I welcome the occasion too explain this to you.
God Himself says. There is One Church..One Baptism..One Spirit, One Body, One Doctrine. One FAITH.
He didn't say there was many...He didn't even say there is 2.
He said THERE IS ONE.
If you would like to get your KJV and correct me, I'm open for mistakes.
