Lately on xanga and myspace, I have gotten messages from "christain" blog rings trying to evangelize, saying that I am going to go to hell for my beliefs and If I don't want to spend eternity in hell I must get saved... This irratates me...I am not christain, I do not believe in god, and I do not like, what so ever, their religeous teachings. I just don't agree with the way they worship. But, I do have a belief system. I am wiccan. I have been practicing Wicce for two years, and I cannot seem to escape the "Change your ways now, or forever burn in hell" type people. Don't get my wrong, I do have a great respect for other religeons and thier followers (that is part of the wiccan teachings is religeous tolerance), but I just get irratated with the tele/evangelists.

Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is the illusion of 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. Meanwhile the victims (having been deceived into believing that it is their God-given duty) are out there busily recruiting MORE victims. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they obliviously try to just pester and annoy people to death, through persistent obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.

In 25 years , I 'd like to hear your opinion on what you just posted here . What has it done for you lately ? Made you more intelligent ? I've never tried to evangelize anyone-nor am I bombarded by people trying to evangelize me . What I am offended by , is the fact that I am bombarded with ignorance at every turn . No offense ; but it gets way tiring . This really irritates me because my brain doesn't like to be inundated with polution & nonsense . Try to understand my point , if you will : here I am going about my day , thinking I may read an interesting point of view or find an answer to my own questions- and out of nowhere I am hit with statements from the twilight zone . On a daily basis my religion , my country and my President are being targeted in vile ways from a mass of witch loving God hating conspiracy loving hate-mongers .If I wasn't such a sweetheart , I'd tell you all to go somewhere and throw-up !

I will explain why Christians evangelize non-beleivers. I am a Christian if it matters at all. The bible commands Christians to "go into all the world, proclaim the Gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15) There are many other places where Jesus commands us to evangelize. I am sorry you feel as if it has been shoved at you. I personally disagree with many of the forms of evangelism that many Christians use. I do not think that it is effective and many times it gives Christians a bad name. Another thing I want to say is that many televangelists teach poor doctrine and even worse theology. When I see them on TV I get sick to my stomach. I hate it when people marr my faith with "feel good theology" and even worse when I see throught their games and realize they are using my faith for monetary gain. It is all a big pile of steaming feces. Also please ignore the comment left by disneylover or something lame like that. I care if you go to hell. Christianity is faith that teaches love and even tolerance, information that might be contrary to popular opinion. I would like to also state that I do not agree with many of the forms Christian use to worship, I find them incredibly disrespectful to God. I too am irritated and I am a Christian.

Ok...I'm a christian myself, but I see where you're comin' from, and I'm not gonna preach to ya'. In my opinion, one of the reasons that a lotta people are turned off by Christianity is the constant pestering and just downright annoyingness of people who are constantly trying to witness and don't ever give it a rest. I mean, it is a Christian's duty to witness, but the best way to do that is just by simply showing God's love, not "OMG YOU DEMON YOU'RE GOIN TO HELL!"...because honestly...I can tell that whoever is bothering you at Xanga is probly not doing much to show you love...but I've grown up at a church where the motto is "Small things done with great LOVE will change the world" and we do this by just showing love by doing things like handing out free water, Washin' cars, raking lawns, and other stuff. We try to only preach to those interested in being preached to. Hope you understand where I'm comin' form :)

the bible tells us we are to spread the good news, that being God sent his one and only son, that who soever beleiveth shall not perish but have everlasting life. the choice he gave to us, if you choose hell that is your right, but it is a high price to pay and there is no turning back after we leave this life, are you absoulutly, positively certain that God is not real and that you are not going to hell.i agree some people try so hard that they close the door, Jesus was gentle and loving and kind when he talked to people. but the fact still remains that there is a heaven and a hell and that we have a choice. it is yours, not mine, so i will definatly pray for you to open your heart to him....i try to get people to just think about it and meditate on it....not get in peoples faces and get nasty about it, that is not real cool, we just have concerns for people because i do not want to see anyone make the wrong choice if maybe i can share Jesus with them...

First off hell does not burn for eternity. Secondly, if Christians don't approach you, then they are indanger of being condemned themselves. You should be happy that people love you so much to try and show you the truth, but i believe they shouldn't bug you alot about it if you say no. Because at the end of the day its your choice.

When i meet people who are not interested, i do not approach them again out of consideration.

I am a Christian(in the loosest sense of the word) and I don't for the life of me understand why we always assume we are right. I believe in God but I do not believe it is my duty to force my beliefs upon other people. God gave us the freewill to make our own choices and form our own beliefs and I respect that. I am terribly sorry that you are being harrassed by cutthroat "christians" in such a way. However, in their defense, they think they are saving you.

1. Because we know that "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
and
2. Jesus said in Mark 16:15 "And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation"

It's pretty simple. Hope that you make the connection before He returns. Or if you are left behind I hope that you remember this...

As Christians we want you to know that God created you and everything in the world. HE chose to create you and loves you. We want you to experience a wonderful life and know that when He returns and ends this crazy world you will have eternal life with Him when you trust your life to Him.
Praise God that those on Xanga and myspace are witnessing to you. I pray they keep it up and that your heart become receptive to His words and your heart soften.

If you were standing on the side of a road, and I saw an 18 wheeler headed straight for you...should I not try to warn you? You have a choice to make. Nobody can make you believe, but it is the duty of Christians to let you know where your present course will lead you.
