i m hindu and hinduism believe in reincarnation. according 2 lord krishna :- body/skin is just like clothes for a soul/spirit. d way v people change our clothes , soul changes body. lord krishna said that soul never dies and it keeps on changing from one body 2 another.
and yes a soul never recollect abt its past birth. for example , if a husband of any lady dies , he might take birth again as his son, so it will b a dangerous situation if he remembers everything abt his last birth. so god erases all d memory b4 recarnation.

No, however what you describe, "being born without knowing anything" is part of the Jewish lore or Midrash. They have an Oral Tradition that has a story called "The Angel's Slap," where in the womb, every fetus is totally aware and know's EVERYTHING. However, at just the moment before birth, an Angel is assigned to "slap" the babe in the womb so that it FORGETS EVERYTHING, otherwise it would come into the world knowing everything.

Just an old story, but I hoped you might find interesting.

At your age I had a very strong interest in Reincarnation as well. I actually wonder if there is some karmic path we take - but I don't know for sure or have a solid conviction. I think it's the mystery of life. Maybe we keep coming back until we get it "right." :)

The wandering of the Israelites in the wilderness is symbolical of Man's sojourn on the earth. Man is a nation of nomads, living in tents (impermanent dwellings), never staying very long in one place, but always dismantling his tent and reassembling it somewhere else, leaving the fields he planted behind to others. When his tent is reassembled, he has no recollection of his former place because the inhabitants in the world of the dead have no memory.

In this way, Man is recycled endlessly in the underworld with no hope of escape by his own devices, and he experiences over and over again the "fires" of Hell. He takes down his tent in his hope to escape them, but wakes up again in the midst of them. It becomes a vicious circle, a circle with no end, and the "fires" become known as "everlasting and unquenchable."

I know it says nothing in the bible about reincarnation....but I do
believe in it. Maybe the reason God didn't mention it is because
he doesn't want us to think," Well,..ok...I can screw up this life
and do whatever I want, and I'll just come back again. He want's
us to concentrate on this life!! To make the right choices in
THIS LIFE. He also, didn't want us to remember our past ones
for the same reason. And it would interfere with this one.

I don't believe in Reincarnation, we only have one life on this planet ,then we die and go to heaven or hell according to what we've done in our lives on earth.
