My bf who is 32, has his own place, and car, but is sometimes verballyabusive and has hit me 1x, or this other guy who likes me, who is 20, still lives at home with his parents , doesnt have a car, but seems really sweet

Is getting beat by this 32 yr old worth not having to deal with home life? My advice: go back home, and call the other guy. And make plans to not be at home when the rest of the family is. Maybe you guys can get an apartment together...as roommates.

You should go for the sweet guy who will treat you good. Its not good to be in a verbally abusive relationship and for the hitting that's not good either both shouldn't be happening at all.
