I am against the death penalty and abortion. But that is for my family. I don't speak for others. That is why I am pro choice. I would never have an abortion as I think it is killing a human but I don't push my beliefs off on other people. If they have abortions then it is they that have to live with it, not me. I don't like the death penalty and I think they should have to sit in prison forever. I think they should have to face their victims or their victims families all the time even if it is just by videos. I think they should have to face what they have done daily. It may sound mean but what they did wasn't nice either. Of course there are those that are in there that really didn't do what they have been convicted of. For them I feel sorry. By the way, the second link didn't work for me either.

It is very possible that an innocent person could loose their life. Our legal system is not infallible and Prosecutors and Police have been known to withhold exculpatory evidence or even manufacture evidence to bolster a weak case. Juries come to perverse decisions. People get bad representation. Cases fall through the cracks and people get convicted because the evidence looks convincing when the accused has committed no crime. We also know that people have been executed who did not commit the crime for which they were charged. I think that it is always wrong to take an innocent life. Once upon a time I was for the death penalty but I am not prepared to risk even one innocent life being lost and so I no longer support the death penalty.

Your second link didn't work for me, but I found the first one very interesting. I've always felt that the death penalty was wrong, but I would be lying if I said that I wouldn't want to see the death penalty imposed on someone who hurt one of my loved ones. My feeling is that the whole situation runs much deeper than just killing people who kill people...I think society needs a major overhaul so that people will be more responsible for their deeds, and act in a more rational manner.
