Are you speaking of their color enhancing products or their salons and their services? And what do you mean by background? Founders, ingredients, or repetoir?

Anyways, my slylist told me that they have great ability at "depositing" color.

I don't know enough to advise you on their color, but I know their line of haircare products and they are the top of the line.

Pureology is the line that Aveda first started using to develop the line and something happened between them. I happen to love Pureology and it smells almost exactly the same as Aveda. In my opinion Pureology has a more pure product than Aveda. Aveda just has more products and now I guess a color line.

I wouldn't hesitate with the color line. The problem is going to be the stylist. Find one you like and you feel has YOUR best interest at heart ,not what she wants to do without considering your wishes.

Some stylist when working with a good product line have a tendency to be a little prima donna-ish. She should look at your eye and skin color to determine color. If you see that she isn't doing that........walk out!

Make an appointment for a consultation. Some charge and some don't. I think Aveda does. Good line though. Maybe if you looked at some magazines and took in some colors you like and see if she agrees with your choices. They can also formulate a special color just for YOU. But of course any stylist can do that.
