Wild dogs will eat my body and poop in the woods.
Naw, just kidding. I'm not qualified to say what will happen because I don't actually know. I'm not an atheist, but I won't subscribe to any religion that tells me I'll be tormented forever if I think for myself. Teaching beliefs to children by threatening them with punishment and promising them rewards seems to me like a good way to turn off their ability to reason. No offense meant. That's just how I see it.

That depends on who is answering.
The Atheist would speek on the physical relm and deny a spiritual existance. 'our bodies decay and we are no more.' This is mainly what atheism is about, believing in no greater power and no after-life.
The Religious would say that Athiests are going to burn in hell.
Ancient Greeks, romans, egyptians, jews, chinese, indians, african tribes, american indians; mostly didn't know of each other and yet they still looked to the skies in belief that someone was watching over them. I find it hard to not believe.

... I would tell you this. ... Separation ... is THE Illusion in this life. In Truth, there is no such thing as separation,... or Time,... so what you are in truth is Eternal and forever. ... Consciousness is energy,.. and energy does not end,.. it only changes form. ............ Whether or not you believe what I am telling you, or whether or not you believe in The Great Spirit,.. will not determine whether or not you will continue to exist after death. There is nothing you can do to change that. Like it or not,.. you (the essence of what you are), is eternal. .............. The personal identity you have assumed in this life experience is not eternal of course. .. It is merely another mask you have taken on for the experience it has to offer and the role it has to play in this world. .......... The ISNESS that is the real you (and is the All That IS), however,.. is Forever,... whether you believe that or not.

I am an atheist. I don't believe in any god. I don't believe in life
after I die. There is only one life and that is now right here.

You mean what's an athiest's view on things?
They think their mind ceases to exist as the chemical and electrical processes necessary for cognitive thought are extinguished, and the body rots and decomposes into its individual elements.

Same thing that happens to Christians. The only difference is that when Jesus returns, the dead of Christ will rise again.

My body will become part of the earth. My DNA will be passed on through my children. Eventually...in billions of years the atoms in me will power other stars, and become and infinite number of other things.
