my daughter loves bathtime!!!! we have a rubber ducky and some little floating terry "bath pals" (hippo, frog, pig, so cute!) that float around the tub and she can reach for. sometimes i cover one of the toys with a washcloth and let her "find" it, she thinks it's pretty funny. they make different kinds of things that stick to the side of the tub, like foam letters or shapes, and stuff like that. you can get different colored bath foam(some are soap too i think?) to squirt around and let them squish or smear it. you'd have to check appropriate ages for that though, i've never looked at the labels or used those yet. i guess it would just depend on what age your baby is? mine is 6 months and has a tub seat she sits up in with a ring around her to keep her from falling over so it is easy for her to play and i don't have to hold on to her the whole time! i bought some cheapie bubbles and i blow bubbles and let her watch them float around the bathroom. she likes to watch me pour water out of a cup and stick her hand in the stream.... i can't really think of much else. i'm sure someone else will have thought of tons of things i haven't thought to do yet!

It depends on how old the baby is. Our daughter is almost 8 months old, can sit up without support and plays well with toys. She has a duckie and a couple other bath toys that she plays with in the tub. Since she was much younger, she's been splashing the water around her. Now, though, she does it more on purpose.
Try to buy toys for the bath that are age appropriate.

Depends on the age of the baby. Younger babies will appreciate a washrag to suck on. Soothes gums, too. Pour water on them, or squeeze water on them from a rag.
Older babies and toddlers LOVE to play with a bunch of cups. Teaches hand/eye coordination to pour and fill the cups. Give them an empty squirt bottle (empty bottle that was for shampoo) so they can fill and squirt it out.
There are lots and lots of things you can buy (expensive things, often) for them to play with, too. Washcloths that are in varied shapes and colors, and can be worn as puppets. My best investment was a set of letters that stick to the sides of the tub and shower when they're wet. Spray foam that's really soap in different colors. They even have at Walmart bathtime paint (in the soap/shampoo area) they can paint the walls of the tub/shower and it'll spray off.
If baby is old enough (sits unassisted without falling over, this is beyond the baby tub stage and assisted sitter stage) give him a bubble bath. I don't use regular bubble bath solutions, too rough on their skin. Just squirt some of the baby shampoo under the running water.
Have fun!

we've had every type of toy and game in the tub and the one thats worked the best was the bath crayons.
The kids love them, they can draw, write color on the walls and it washes right off.
As for a game, my kids like fishy. We double up our fist in the water and say something like "I caught a fishy" then when they look down at your fist you make is squirt water through your thumb and forefinger. They get a real kick out of that one.
Or get some of those rubber fish that you can suck water into and squirt each other with them.

I love that soapy stuff you can use to "paint" in your tub, my son would do abc's on the wall with them and thought it was great... of course when he pulled the crayons out and went to work on his bedroom wall, i wasn't quite as pleased. WHATEVER they're only young once and I have a mr. clean magic eraser.

Good old rubber ducky works best with my daughter... But she also likes a cup with water in it to get mommy and daddy soaked too. :)

It depends on how old your child is, but making he/she feel comfortable in the water is a must! Try and teach he/she to swim and go under the water!
