I used to think that way when I was much younger, but after being a mental health professional for 20+ years before I retired early, I've read enough and gone to enough continuing education programs, and have hopefully matured enough to realize that what my siblings or parents or aunts and uncles and cousins do is their business, and does NOT reflect back on me. You're your own man!! Stand tall with that, and don't let others' bullshit get you down, except to pray for them to Jesus our Christ. God Bless you.

To tell the truth everybody feels that way,but are ashamed to say anything about it.
But it is just a feeling that will go away. Don;t let it get to you or later in life it will affect you., physically and mentally.

Yep!. It kinda sucks,, and will be harder for you to "proove" yourself to those who look down on you too... My advice would be Move away... Move far far away ... :-).. Then you can start a new life with new friends, and no one will know if you grew up in a nice "normal" family or a screwed up one.

I do think that sometimes what your family might do around you influences others thoughts of you, but it shouldn't come to a bad point to where you're afraid to be around your family...just talk with them.

Sometimes, but really shouldn't blame yourself. Instead try to guide them towards a more positive light.
