Yes, you can. But before we fix a target that might help us in deriving the satisfaction that we lived the life as a successful human being, we have to be sure as to what are the factors that constitute the 'purpose' of human life. Is there a difference between the purpose of the Nature or the creator on one hand; and the purpose which I understand as a human being in the society. If it is the same my problems are less, but if these are different then success also will have a different meaning.

For example, Mahatma Gandhi was a successful human being in the estimate of the mankind as a whole, but of his four sons one became a drunkard and committed rape on their maid servant and later became a Muslim and died. Another son was not educated enough to boast as Gandhiji's son. So, question is was he a successful father. He made his wife to clean her own toilet and many a times lost temper on her on trifling matters. Was he successful as a husband according to his own wife.

That way we have examples of Great man with Great deeds but none can claim that one was successful in every sense of the term. Sri Rama is the greatest ideal worth emulating. Hence, try to be as close as possible to the ideal, but be careful while choosing your ideal!

You have to decide first, what are the characteristics that you consider, belonging to a successful human being. Then you should start to associate with such persons whom you know.

There is the saying "we become like those we hang out with". So chose your friends with care and mix with those you think are 100% successful, and then you will be 100% successful!

Read a lot of PMA Books too (Positive Mental Attitude ).

It depends on what you define as successful, many people associate success with wealth, the richer you are, the more successful you are. However there are other ways to be successful, for example say you are single parent mother on welfare, but you raise a child with the standards and ideals of a 'saint'. Then your child goes on to become a preacher of some sort and converts people to Christianity for example, and so saves a lot of people from going to hell. Could the mother be viewed as a success? what if she did drugs? the child has become a preacher because what his mother has taught him, and because of her 1000s are better off.

To answer your question directly, yes you can become a 100% succesful, you have to listen to that voice within (not discarnate spirits) and do Gods will. Patience is a pre-requisite though, and the ability to give up the false needs of the ego.

The kingdom of heaven is within. Do ye worship there? Not thyself, but thy God?

Hast thou made thy god fame, fortune, or just to be well spoken of?

That alone then may ye attain!

I'm not really a Christian by the way, but if I was to choose a religion it would be Christianity, for I'm an 'independent Christian'.

Godbless, and good luck!

Following is the answer I have received from The Messenger of God for our time. I am now a humble layman at 70; I personally and thankfully have got all physical, intellectual and spiritual necessities beyond my expectation and my capacity to earn them.
Physical and intellectual satisfaction is meaningless for any long statement here. I just mention some of His spiritual bestowals: I have suffucient time and freedom to happily concentrate on worshipping God and sharing His Teachings to people around me and to anyone through the Internet. I have suffered grave calamity for this work, but now I realize more clearly that calamity in His Path is the greatest blessing.
Wishing that you will spend some time to consider this one of the most precious counsels from Him:

"…man should know his own self, and know those things which lead to loftiness or to baseness, to shame or to honor, to affluence or to poverty. After man has realized his own being and become mature, then for him wealth is needed. If this wealth is acquired through a craft and profession, it is approvable and worthy of praise to men of wisdom, especially to those servants who arise to train the world and beautify the souls of nations."
-Baha'u'llah, Baha'i World Faith, p. 167-

It depends on what you think success is... You've given us insufficient information to make a reasonable suggestion.

Overall I'd say that whatever it is you place importance on there is no way to be 100% successful at anything.

By accepting the fact that you are not 100% human. That will make you humble enough to keep practising humanity and will lead to the answer you seek.
