I was just having a conversation with a couple of my friends a weekend ago and it was brought to my attention that neither of them ALWAYS use condoms with their boyfriends. One of my friends is sleeping with a guy who lives with his other girlfriend. My other friend is sleeping with a married man. None of them are protecting themselves and i'm baffled, i just cant believe in 2006, ADULTS (in our 20-30's) still are that ignorant to not take a few minutes to grab a condom. I would love to hear your opinion.

I think everyone still believe they CAN'T get HIV/AIDS. The thought that they might be endangering themselves have yet to click in. Adults as well as the younger generation feel they are immuned to it, almost like this epedemic doesn't exist or something. However, when they realize that it is a life or death situation and that it is reality, it may be a little too late.

I feel w/ life styles like this and all now that is the stupid part of the human but people always feel never them and every case says the same, even in relationships and marriage now is a risk and I have been w/ mine for 20 and we dont but to think if cheated on or somethin and all the things now and the life style before gettin together is a scarey thing even for me, I hope the young learn before they are all just gone, good luck passin word on they dont listen maybe takin to the floor of a hospital and be shown what happens mit do it,

I couldn't agree with u more. I pay attention in my health class and it makes me not want to have sex at all (and the fact that I'm only 12 and waiting to get married).But even a condom is not a 100% safe way of not getting a disease. plus HIV/aids are not the only diseases u can get from unprotected sex. i think u should try to talk to them and tell them how much u care.

In reality, yes. Even people who have the knowledge about HIV/AIDs, people are just too stubborn to use condom. I don't know why, but it's just like smoking. There are ads and schools who do not promote smoking and they talk about the bad benefits from it, but yet, you still see students doing so. The fact is, they don't care about it. It is their choice and their life anyways. But I know there are people out there who are concerned about unprotected sex. Just because your friends do not use comdoms, don't follow in their footsteps. Do the right thing to keep yourself safe and healthy.

Because it feels a million times better to cu* right into a chick then into a piece of rubber. If I wanted to get off in a rubber I can do that without the chick. I want to have se* with a women, not a piece of rubber.

It's that kind of thinking (or non-thinking) that populated the earth in the first place. Going with the gonads, letting the little head do the thinking, throwing caution to the winds... all that stuff. It's the animal brain in charge, wanting to procreate, not caring about disease.

It sounds like your friends aren't making many smart choices in their relationships. I honestly don't know why you are suprised they don't use condoms.
