You can click on their name. Then you can click on "Contact (name of the person) to send a personal message. However, some people chose not to let you contact them as that is their choice. Oh, and welcome to Yahoo Answers! Some people (not all) are real jerks here, but you'll get use to it.

You can click on their name and some people allow you to contact them personally. Commenting to them personally in your question can be considered chatting and you can get reported for that.

If you click on the avatar for the person it will tell you if they have a protected way to be contacted. If they don't you can't contact them.

Click on the person's avatar and it will take you to their page and there will be a place to click if they have opted to receive mail from other users.
