But depending on the situation, it could be. Would need more facts so I do not presume to know the whole story.

NO-it's NOT OK for a father to spank his 22 year old daughter. She is too old for that. At that point, talking like mature adults is the way to go, NOT SPANKING. And it doesn't matter if she lives in the house or not-he shouldn't be hitting her!!
I think parent's should stop spanking their children around the age of 4 or 5 years of age. And I mean, only on the butt, and only once in awhile and only if they are really, really, really, really, bad!! Other than that, you could be charged with child abuse. But everyone is different. Some parent's don't spank at all. Some I've seen spank their kids right in the middle of the store, and really hard too!! That isn't right, but it wasn't my kid...

There has to be a revelation by the father that his daughter is not a child anymore. A 22 years old woman should not be spanked by anyone but her lover, and only by her invite. If the father still see his daughter as a child at 22, there may be bigger problems brewing down the road.
There's no right age for when and how you change the ways you relate to your children. But, the transition should have happened WAY before now. A woman starts to become a woman in her teenage years; that would have been a good time to start. But, it is never too late to make amends.

it is not okay to spank a 22 year old. whether or not the child lives in the home still, they are an adult. and have been for 4 years. that doesnt mean that they act like an adult. i would guess that a good age to stop spanking is around 10 ir 11. or when they have things of their own that you can take away temporarily as punishment.

What do you mean SPANK a 22 year old. How do you do that? It is called Fighting, The person should move or be put out! By the age of 13 if they have not got it from you .Life will have to teach them.

If she is 22 and still at home then she is choosing to live under her fathers authority and house rules. 22 or not, you break the rules you pay the price. If a spanking is the chosen punishment then you take it. If you don't like it, there is a great big world out there where you can go make your own rules.

First off,good job! This is a cry for help! And please get some before your whole life is ruined.I see that you have been sexually abused at some point! And out of shame,fear or not as yet remembering it,which he knows is still getting away w it.I'm 44 and my father to this day say i'll spank you! And he abused me as a kid.Stop it now before you pass it on to ur own.Plus you will feel better although not right away. well its kind of weird for the father to spank his 22 year old daughter but I'm 20 and my mom still tries to spank me. so i guess if she needs a spanking get the women to do it

If you are 22 and your dad is still spanking you, it is because you are letting him do it, which could only mean you enjoy it. Personally I think parental disciplinary spanking loses effectiveness once the child enters puberty, usually around 12 years old.

Ew definitely not. That is bordering on abuse. I don't think a child should be spanked ever. But once they start puberty, it is absolutely wrong for a parent to touch them like that. Her father sounds to me like he is enjoying himself which is why he hasnt stopped. He needs to get some help.

that's weird but if she's a bad, bad girl then the father should start spanking, that is with something but the hand.
