Probably because labradoodles are half lab, which is a retriever and that's what she's doing - retrieving. Poodles are also retrievers, so there you go, she's doing what comes naturally. She has to first hide whatever she's later going to retrieve.

your neighbor is a miserable B!#*H, she feeds off of things that give her a reason to yell and make a big deal. Avoid her, she has a right to get mad, but she really shouldn't. What i think you should do is just tell the kids to play within your yard and to try not to allow the balls to go over to her yard. and if she complains that the kids should stop playing even in your own yard, call the cops and be the first to make the complaint.

That is just one of the ways that she plays. It is more of a challenge to get the ball. Keep in mind that she is still a puppy and will continue to "wreck" things for months to come.

As with Bidget360's dog, my lab likes to play with his bones next to the ottoman or sofa and gets them stuck underneath. He then sighs loudly and tries to get me to retrieve them for him. Once I do, I put them far away from the furniture to avoid having to retrieve them again. He brings them right back and after 30 seconds of playing, there they go, under the furniture & out of his reach. It's all a game to the dog.
If yours is wrecking things, you need to reinforce that the behavior (digging, chewing, etc) is not acceptable. It's not the hiding of the toy that is the problem. My dog knows not to dig at furniture or the floor, jump on furniture, etc. He was well trained that this was wrong as a pup, which is why I hear the heavy sigh when he can't get to the toy. :)
Stick with a good training program and working on training your pup that the destructive behavior is not allowed. Good luck!

it is just part of her game. pups are crazy. My puppy sees a blanket laying there and will tear it apart, go underneath it and then scratch it and pull it over his head. he's crazy. My sister's dog hides treats under her bed and doesn't eat them for awhile. they all have their traits, that's why we love our crazy pets

She is playing a game!My 3year old Doxie "Molly" does the same thing. She is playing doggie version of "Hide-an-seek". OH WHAT A PAIN IT CAN BE!!! But also alot of fun! Molly will roll it under the sofa where she CANNOT get it out herself,so that the boys (my kids) have to get down on the floor with her to get the ball out! AH HA! OK,now she has them on the floor,,,so they are more likely to play ball WITH her. Oh so smart she is!If the boys ignore her at first, she starts to bark, that annoys them so they get the ball out so she will stop, well you guessed it,back under the sofa goes the ball, and so on and so on and so on......

dogs like to have fun. but they are like us they like to do thing that have a little work to it. you puppy need more to do. lab's and poodles are hunting dog and like to have a reason to there day. a job. just sitting waiting for you to play is not fun. you might get her one of those toys that you put food into and they have to figure out how to get it out.. it take them a while and it keep happy. do you take your dog on walks? how much to you play with her. a dog is like a baby they have to learn new thing and be played with a lot. get her more toys. walk her more and find something she can do. teacher new thing.
