I am in the market for a small SUV - I want something that is good on gas and has a good AWD system. I commute over 60km one way and want the safety of the AWD for the Canadian winters and decent gas mileage. I am married w/ no kids but expecting to start a family soon, so the vehicle needs to cater well to babies, kids etc.
I get a bit of a discount on the Saturn (family pricing) so they end up being about the same price. Both are well equipped. The Tucson GLS comes standard with a few extra goodies (heated seats, mirrors, ability to force 4x4, longer warranty and the dealership has offered me 5 years of free oil changes)
The Saturn felt a little sturdier/heavier and is a little bigger. I am pretty torn between these 2. I have test drove many crossover SUVS and have narrowed it down to the Vue or Tucson. Any recommendations?

I know some people will say how good the Tuscon is, but it's still a Hyundai....get the VUE with a V6(which is made by Honda--it's the best thing you can get in the VUE)
The V6 may cost a bit in extra gas, but a Honda engine compared to either a Hyundai or GM engine is a no-brainer

I have a VUE and I love it. It is quite big inside. Handles great in 2 feet of snow. Parks at the mall.

I researched both on Consumer Report's web site, and if memory serves the Tucson was the clear winner. I would suggest checking out that and other auto review web sites.

I would get a Hyundai Tucson but if I've had it my way I would get a Honda CR-V, Ford Escape or a Toyota Rav4.
