I believe that i would have to choose therapy with troubled teens. I am 35 years old, but remember well all of the trials and tribulations of growing and coming of age and all the strife that comes with being a teenager. It seems to be one of the hardest times in a kid's life, and decisions are hard to make when you have no one to talk to, and I would work on a sliding scale, so that anyone who needed help could get it, money or not. That is what this texas woman would do....

I wouldnt do adults, their lives (not to sound rude) are ya know! umm...almost done with life! Children on the other hand you can make a big impact and change them for the better! You know u can help change them and it makes a big difference!!! hope u understood that...lol
good luck with whatever you choose!

I would like to treat people suffering from depression and anxiety. I have had this most of my life starting from the teens and I know all the symptoms. I dont think I would refuse but I would rather not try and work with suicidals.

I agree the sex therapy would be the funnest!!! haha... Yahhh Child and Adolescent psych may be pretty cool that is if you have TONS of patience, because you will have to deal with 2-4 years olds who dont know how to listen and have ADHD...
I always thought it would be cool to work in a home that helps battered woman... and the kids "start over"... Mentioning starting over, that may be even better, working in the "starting over " house some day, and you could be Dr. Stan...

psychology, it is the most intimate and personal therapy of all. Digging into the mind is a powerful thing. I would prefer teenagers over adults as far as age group is concerned.

with a view to be a psychological physician minimum training requirement is a masters degree. There are uniqueness therapists in artwork or song, yet dance has a tendency to be an artwork that has a narrowed objective team, which might require you be in an extremely great city placing to make sufficient funds to proceed to exist. i might carry on with having one pay the charges, and doubtless have a dance studio on the section..

I've been thinking about a career in psychology as well! I would love to work with children and teens, those who have suffered traumatic events in their life or have depression/anxiety.
