OMG...they had mice running around the plane while it was still in use. Mechanics found dead mice in oxygen masks and feces everywhere. Does anyone else think that is our right as paying travelers to know about this? AA was trying to blow the media off and say it wasn't a hazard...your thoughts?

Considering the lack of quality, character and overall money is king quality of modern america, is it any wonder that an airline who is entrusted with the public's regard, would let such a thing happen?

After all, the ceo has to make millions so why not let the passenger's and crew's health pay his salary by NOT keeping the aircraft clean and suitably healthy.

Homeland security, who likely IS the enemy not some group of terrorists, will say it is a "terrorist" problem...

Hummmmmmmmpphhhhhhhhh!!

Mysweetsetofwheels has the correct answer.
The CEO of the airline (American, but also the top 6 legacy carriers) is interested in one thing only. MONEY.
American has a unwritten policy of< don't fix it unless it will stop the plane from flying>
I was on an aircraft recently that had a broken entertainment system. It had been on the FIX-IT sheet for almost a month.
Of course the CEO was given a 23% raise ($140,000 a year)
plus $1.7Million in Stock plus 115,000 stock options for all he's done.
