I am getting great answers. Thank you so much. For the person who wrote the Miranda rights, that was hysterical! I bet God thought it was funny too!

If you make choices with your "free will" , leaving God out of your decision , it is at that time that you think you have been given "more than you can handle", and relate your failure to God , in fact is was not Gods` choice , but your own that gave you "more than you can handle". The flesh cannot accept the fact that there is not someone else to blame for their decision , and then they look to God , asking why have I been given "more than I can handle".. If you make choices , and God is involved in the choices and you find yourself in the "valley", then the choice is the learning process of being a Christian so as to be a better servant for God ..As a Christian you will "walk through the valleys" with complete faith in the knowledge that you are learning as you go to the "mountain top".. 1 Corinthians 14:32 For God is not the author of confusion , but of peace , as in all churches of the saints .... TRUE !!!

TRUE. I believe in the Bible. With ALL MY HEART.

1 Corinthians 10:13 - "No temptation has taken you except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with temptation he will also make the way out in order for you to be able to endure it."

This scripture is not saying that people are not going to suffer, or have mental illnesses....... We ALL inherited those things due to Adam and Eve's episode in the Garden of Eden. So, in regards to temptations (desires of the world that God detests), God WILL provide and make sure we can handle it........ Who said that IT will be easy?

Not only false, but ridiculous and insulting.

Think about all the people who have died in wars over religion and other ethnic-bloodletting - how well do you suppose they coped as they were having their limbs lopped off. It's insulting to their memories to say that god gave them that suffering and that he thought they should be able to handle it.

And, for Christians, I imagine it's insulting to god to say that he goes around handing out suffering.

okay, but we must realize God expects us to accuse him. if you will, and demand justice from Him.

Psalms ending in frustration

74 - do not ignore the clamor of yuor adversaries

79 - pay back into the laps of our neighbors seven times the reproach they have hurled at us, then we will praise you.

80 - restore us o YHWH make your face shine upon us again

82 - rise up o god judge the earth

88 - you have taken my companions and loved ones from me darkness is my closest friend

True. All things work together for good to them that love God. Romans 8:28
Knowing that, we know that God never allows anything in our lives that we can't handle. Some people, Christians particularly, need to know and remember that.

I know what you're trying to say and I definitely agree with it. I have this saying on a postcard in my office at work: 'The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you'. He will never put you through something you cannot handle, with His help!! That is the most important part of the equation, is to have faith that He will be your strength and your rock! ♥

Dear Ladybugmac: Both.

God, Himself, does not give us anything to bear. He does not harm His Children or set up heavy trials for them. Life does this, itself. Then God is available to you through Jesus and the Holy Spirit to Comfort, Guide and teach you how to get through it. So, no - God does not descend trials upon us.

Also, when Life and its lessons seem too harsh to bear or get through - Jesus knows how to walk you through it with wonderful lessons of His Own that will raise you up to a higher level of thinking and be-ing. In other words, the thing you consider a harsh trial becomes a Reward for you as you make Jesus and the Holy Spirit your Best Friends and allow Them to lead you to the stepping stones - one at a time - that teach you, and take you through the "trial" to completion - feeling like a winner!
So, yes - you can be taken through literally anything and win - through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Most of the time, the statement is true. For those who commit suicide, the statement is false. So the answer is ultimately no. But I also believe God has His reasons for this to be the case.
