Have you ever noticed that persons answering a question such as mine love to find even a tiny error in the question? They seem to think that if they can find a mistake in the questioner's spelling, punctuation, or grammar, that will justify them when they murder the English language. I am sorry, but if the questioners makes a typo or other error, that will not make you right. By the way, criticizing me for posting this in the religious section, will just prove that you have little imagination, or are afraid to do anything original. It will not make you right, no matter what criticisms you make. How about doing a little intelligent thinking before you run off a hasty ill-considered reply to me and others posting questions in this section? (I am sure some of you will still not get my message, but I expect that!)

i usually use the spell check .some times on large text this does not work and not all parts of answers have spell checks such as the posted comments
the people are defensive because nobody likes to be called stupid
sometimes hurried replies will produce exctra typed letters like the c here
and imparience or lack of time or laziness leaves them in
i left it in to prove a point

This is a silly little entertainment site, With many different people, Many are younger and their spelling isn't the best. There are many people that cant read or write very well. So go ahead and give them a hard time but you never know maybe they are just practising, And then you go and discourage them. I use this site to improve my typing. We are not all great at spelling and grammar, But we are all people and deserve respect even if we are not perfect, In short. GET OVER IT LADY!

I've seen this as well. I tend to point out people's bad spelling, but not 'typos', as we all make them. I do intentionally call people out for doing that whole 'teenage shorthand' thing (I tried to come up with an example, but it's so foreign to me that I couldn't!).
I think people get defensive about it because they feel like "I kun spell it howEvr iwant, b**ch" and it's not that they feel inferior, it's that they don't realize how important it is to write in proper English. They feel self-righteous about perpetrating some kind of 'style writing' that they think is cool, but the truth is that these bad habits will hurt them later when they are trying to find good paying jobs. You can't just 'spell it however you want' on a resume without looking like an idiot.

probally they do. however whenever you attack someone you should expect a defensive response. just as your question is in itself a response to some of the people that answered you by being defensive and attacking back. you are now being defensive to them.
if you are going to make a post about other people's grammar skills you should have your grammar and spelling appear perfect.
if not expect people that know better to point out your flaws.
as for posting in the religion section...you are not being new or innovative, you are just looking for a fight and trying to tear people down. if you had posted this in a category based on education you probally would get a few better responses and probally many more people attacking your grammar and misteaks.

you make sense. you are right i almost did just that on where you placed it. then i realized every topic actually should have your question. , believe me i am guilty of the spelling and such errors. i even a writer who spells bad and punctuation is bad too. but its the message that counts.not all spell checkers catch all the spelling errors or don't want to work at all. good luck

Actually in this forum(Rel and Spir.) they criticize pretty often especially the Atheists. but I have seen it start a whole tit-for-tat cycle. Which I think is disgraceful to be involved in for all parties.
Let's hear it for the high ground where we give people a little slack for at least grammar and usage(there is spell check but it doesn't filter for wrong usage)

okay i didnt read that long boring paragraph you just wrote but i cant spell worth crap and i dont know my grammar very well either. but im also extremely confident in my intelligence. i just dont focus on stupid nitpicky crap like spelling and grammar. theres far more important things to worry and think about than how you freaking spell something. i have very good ideas and thoughts and its very frustrating when someone dumber than me discredits my idea because i spelled something wrong.

It is a mutual problem ..
one who can speak three languages beside a little english .. be insulted for his poor english language ..
but one who can speak only english believe that he has the right to inult someone online .. is it fair .. you decide ..
for example most arab leaders can speak english beside arabic ..
can George W Bush speak another language .. for example french or german ..
