I believe in God, but have found that no real "religion" has worked for me.

That's fine (there is no dogma for Secular Humanism) - but don't let labels define you. You seem to have a pretty good grasp of your own beliefs.

If you are saying you are a christian and have been saved then you are nondenominational. I personally don't believe that any one religion is absolutely right. I think they all have some things right and some things wrong. However on the other hand if you are just saying you believe that God exists but you just don't feel like being a christian then i must say even satan believes in God.

Actually, I believe the answer is "NO". The last I knew, there is no god higher than Humanity in SH. Humans, it is supposed, create their own destiny, their own morals, their own paths. A "god concept" is very anti-secular-humanism.

If you are having trouble finding God, and your place in this world, I suggest you just pray. Ask God to reveal Himself to you, and to bring people into your life that know Him well, that you can spend time with.

I really believe God wants us to know Him. A real request, He will not ignore.

Peace.

BTW, I know it's odd, but the guy that said "it is possible to believe in God and be a demon" is right. That is actually in the Bible.

It's possible to believe in God and be a demon. Believing that there is a God is like acknowledging the sun, it's there and everyone sees it.

it is not a matter of just believing, the bible says that even satan believes and trembles. it is a matter of accepting him as your saviour, knowing he died for your sins and repenting of them, it is not a religion it is a choice.........blessings to you my friend...
