I don't believe you can become lost again..........because the bible uses the example of how the GOOD SHEPARD will leave his 99 sheep to go find the 100th that went astray and return him home to the rest of the flock. You may stray.........but you will not be lost eternally. He will always find you.

This is a debated issue but as long as you persevere in your faith and love the Lord Jesus "with all your heart, soul, and mind" you do not need to worry about being lost.

The real question is, is it possible to apostisize from a once saving relationship with Christ. The Word seems to indicate that it would be possible (Hebrews chapter 6) but not because of Christ doing the leaving. If this does happen it would be entirely the fault of the person becoming an apostate. He of course "will never leave or forsake us".

Hebrews 6 then goes on to indicate that if this does in fact happen, there would be no chance of becoming saved again. A true apostate would have such a hardened heart, it would never occur to him to return to the Lord. He would be eternally lost.

Yes. Christ is your savior even if you don't believe that He is your savior. Christ is everyone's savior, just not everyone believes in Him.

But, more to answer your question. Yes, a person can be a Christian and be mislead into believing that they can lose their salvation. It is actually a common theme in some denominations. I believe in 'eternal security,' or 'once saved, always saved.'

There are some valid arguments from the Bible that salvation can be lost, but by and large I believe the Bible says that once you accept Jesus Christ as your savior, you are safe. The only exception to this that I teach is that during the Great Tribulation, when the Tribulation Saints are enduring the reign of Antichrist, if a Christian takes the mark of the beast they lose their salvation.

Of course you can lose your salvation, this is why the Bible says to "keep working out your salvation." (Philippians 2:12) There is NO SUCH thing as once saved always saved. If there was, you could get saved and go rob and murder and still go to Heaven, NICE!

And, that' "he will leave the other 99 sheep deal" well, if YOU LEAVE HIM, he's NOT GOING TO LOOK FOR YOU! After all, we all have our own free will, and its on that basis that our future is based. This verse was meant for those living with unbeliever's or others who were subjected daily to the pressures of others and unable to worship Jehovah and follow the lead of Christ Jesus. It IS NOT for people who willingly go astray!

God tells us that faith without works is death. We are told to work out our salvation. Works, Following the teachings and example of Christ in a literal working relationship with Christ, is the way to be saved. We can be born again of the spirit by entering the waters of baptism. our sins are forgiven us and we have the privilege of starting fresh. with our feet planted firmly on that narrow path that leads back to God, But we can not be saved until we stand before God and He declares; "Well done my good and faithful servant". Good works is what saves us and after all we can do, it is by the grace of god that we are saved. If we fall astray, if we truly repent of our sins we will be welcomed back with open arms and the hosts of heaven will rejoice.

Christ is the ONLY way to be saved.

Is a life preserver really your savior if you can let go of it and drown anyways?

Sometimes you've got to hang on to what's good. It doesn't just float around you're head because you deserve good things to happen to you.

Salvation is a gift, not something you earn. Once saved, always saved. When you stray and sin without repentance, you will face Him on Judgment day to account for it, but you will still be saved.
Cling to God. I said a prayer once 30 years ago. I asked Him if I stray away, please pull me back.
He has. 25 years later. I will never stray away again.

Okay, if you are drowning in the ocean and somebody comes along on a boat and rescues you, you are saved, correct? Now, if you choose, you can be stupid and jump back in the ocean, right? Now it's not the guys fault that you decided to jump back in the ocean, it's your own.
