Depleted Uranium is only harmful is it is on fire or you are shot with it.

I don't think the US military would send anyone into an area designated as a tactical nuke zone. That's the reason why its a nuke zone in the first place. Nukes are used instead of soldiers because conventional warfare can't cut it.

Unless of course the US military has forgotten their "Agent Orange" fiasco in Vietnam.
