A former co-worker of mine had a winter wedding a few years ago and it was very beautiful. She wore a gown with off the shoulder sleeves and because it was snowing a few flakes outside and very very cold, she wore what looked like a wedding fur coat (a picture below) to the reception. Instead of a floral bouquet, she carried a crystal floral bouquet like the one pictured below. You can also wear a winter wrap which will be nice.

Try http://www.bridalpeople.com for some great ideas. If it's winter, I suggest sleeves. Many wedding dress styles nix the sleeves, I personally am not fond of the bare look. Maybe some bell sleeves made with chiffon and detailed with lace? For sure the dress should be long if it's a winter wedding, keep yourself warm. Of all places and of all events, your wedding is the last place where you'd want your n!pples to get hard, lololol!!

If you are in the North, I'd suggest doing a long sleve. If you really have your heart set on a strapless or sleveless dress, I'd wear full length gloves. You can also get a fur cape that looks very romantic. Also, I wouldn't have a bright white dress, instead I would go with a diamond white or an ivory.
I'd wear your hair up and heavy make-up. If you add details about your shape and style, I'd look for some suggestions for you.
Good Luck!

Have you seen the latest designs using feathers. Gorgeous! That would be a "festive" look suitable for winter, besides the fact that the feathers are beautiful.
Or purchase or rent a white or ivory winter cape with a hood (you don't have to wear the hood, just looks better).
Your headpiece should be fashioned out of clear and clear ab swarovski crystals and feathers.
Reception should be light blue and silver and WOW, you could have some real fun with the Ice Princess theme. Your accessories with your gown should be clear swarovski crystal necklace (but funky, not delicate) with bigger chunky pieces of crystal to look like ice and earrings to match. Silver shoes of course.
Good luck and congratulations

My wedding is in March and I have picked out a dress by Maggie Sottero that has swarvorski crystals on it. I bought the dress from a local bridal shop. I also ordered a cape and muff from Davids Bridal which only costs about $125 brand new on sale.

White satin, long skinny sleeves, off the shoulder neckline, drop waist, soft gathers and white rabbit fur trim along the neckline, and edge of hem.
If you can't do the fur, the dress is beautiful with a crystal trim along the neckline.
