How does it feel to betray your COUNTRY and your fellow AMERICANS?????

to 'olesyac' if i had my own business i WOULD hire JUST American workers!!!! It's these employers that hire ILLEGALS, that are the cause if a lot of the problems!!!!!

Again with the generalizing.Before you post a question and say you would do something before you actually have done it then don't judge.I have had a company and I have employeed illegals as well as americans.And unlike most other employers I did registered the company and paid fair wages to all the workers regardless of legal status.And i'll tell you that out of 6 yrs I had with that company not once did an illegal steal my equipment.Not once did an illegal call me "stupid *****" at least to my face or within my hearing range and not once did an illegal demand that i pay him more just because he was legal.I paid them all the same and gave bonuses according to how hard they worked,the illegals accepted and thanked me for what they received the legals bitched and whined not matter what they got.So if that makes me a betrayer to my country in your eyes so be it.I don't judge others on their legal status anymore than I would judge them on the color of their skin or sexual preferrence.I judge them on their character and how much respect they show me.Be them legal or not.

I just love how people think that being against illegal immigrants makes you the perfect American. Have you ever stopped to think that those "illegals" you hate so much are human too? That all they want is to make a better life for themselves? They have feelings, just like we do. They aren't some strange alien culture. Not everyone was lucky enough to be born an American. You were. I was. We have the whole world open to us, we have an incredibly amount of opportunity. We can do whatever we want in life, as long as we put our minds to it. Not everyone was born with all that opportunity, so they go out in search of it. Is it so wrong to want something more from life?

If you want to know, try it yourself. Open a business, struggle with taxes and regulations, and try to hire and, most importantly, keep American workers for the kind of pay you will have to provide (whatever is left over after all those taxes and regulations). If you will succeed at hiring them, you can consider yourself a magician; and all you will have to worry from now on is how to save your butt from being sued for every little thing by your newly employed American employees. Try it, you might like it.

Companies that hire illegals are the same as slave traders, Illegals will work for less, and beallowed to be treated like crap. Then they expect the legal Americansto do the same. It is a step backwards in American history to allow this to go on.

I'm sick of people saying Americans cost too much to hire. This is because we pay taxes!! When you subtract these taxes from our paychecks, illegal immigrant pay starts to look pretty good. This is because they don't pay taxes, yet they use ours for birthing their offspring which become legal. That needs to stop. Why should the offspring of an illegal be legal? Who made up that dumb@$$ law? Or is it a law? Is it illegals forging documents for their kids?

To Nexus K (below), so what did you do with the tax money you withheld from the illegals paychecks? Or did you?

If you did withold taxes on illegals, I hope the IRS is reading this and tracks you down through Yahoo somehow. If you didn't withold taxes, and you paid all your workers the same, then the illegals were making more take home pay than the legals paying taxes.

Consequently, the illegals could afford to live on their pay and not need to steal from you. The legals barely surviving after taxes, realized the unfairness of your favoring illegals, and stole from you.

I will not say that I support people entering this country without proper visas, but I'd like to give you a thought starter.

Look at your clothes - what country are they from? The textile market of the Southeast is decimated because no one wanted to pay union wages, so the work goes to cheap labor in China and other cheap countries, where children work for pennies - so look at your clothes and tell me how does it feel?

Look at your furniture? Comes from China? What about the wonderful quality furniture from Virginia? Oh, too expensive, but that supports Americans - how does it feel?

What do you drive? Oh, a Toyota because the quality is so high? Well, GM contributes 1% to the US GNP - 1%, one company - how does it feel?

Before you start throwing stones, better check to make sure that your slate is clean - like Jesus told the whore, no one condemns you, so I do not, so go home and sin no more.
