I can't sleep at night. I toss and turn on my bed. And I can't stop thinking about random things. I think I'm going crazy. What is happening to me?

Not sure about this, but my brother just left for college and I was sad for a long time. I saw him everyday since I was in preschool and now he's off. Would this have anything to do with this?

Listen to this. I have dealt with your problem many a night and I can say this; counting sheep is not a myth, but instead of sheep, count your breaths. Each time you breathe, count in your head and picture THAT number in your head. do this until you reach 100. its not a race, and if you reach 100, start again, in, out....one in, out, ....two---- IT works! If that doesnt work, breathe slowly and imagine yourself as the air slowly going in and out of your nose-- sounds silly, but try it, its very relaxing!!!!

I have that same problem and I just think about winning the lottery and how I would spend it-it works for me every time...I think about who I would share it with and a new house with plenty of acres for our 4 wheelers and a huge in ground pool with waterfalls and a slide...I get to that part and I must just dose off because I never remember anything after the pool part!

You have too much going on and need to chill out. Drink some warm milk and try to free your mind. Picture yourself on a beach listening to the waves or try taking deep breaths to help you relax.

Yea, definately you miss your brother. Maybe he made you feel safe at night because he was older and could protect you, now you have to worry about things that go creek in the night.

Maybe you worry about him too!

i think u are stressed out, try some things to calm you down before you lie down to sleep. things like reading or yoga. If it is not stress then it could be some sleeping problem, dont worry i dont think you are going crazy.

what is you caffeine intake like? How about your sugar intake.
are you on any medication?
Monitor what you eat and drink before going to bed.
Try to modify your eating, drinking and medication as applicable.
If none of this works, consult a doctor.
Good luck.

Insomnia. Maybe you need one of those matresses like they sell on TV. No, wait, I've a friend who has one of those. He keeps saying it was one of the worst purchases he's ever made.
