My mom is visting me from out of town & usually I'm very careful with my secret single woman behavior & I'm good at hiding stuff....Kinda like my vibrator, which my mom found today on my nightstand when she came home today & I was asleep & she asked me about the vibrator & I said it was my friends who had asked me to hold it because she was traveling & didn't want her mom to find it while she was way because lives with very catholic parents & it was in my purse that I was clearing out & forgot to put it away. Kind of embarrasing but not so much cos I dunno if she bought the story but I wish I could undo the whole mess...So my questions are, How do you think I handled the situation & how would you feel if your parents found anything along those lines in your room???

Mrs Nice comments:
In my opinion if you are a young lady who is living on her own then your mother should respect your space and not question.
You are a grown woman and should not feel bad for the items you have. You are good to try to put up those things that may disturb your parents.
As a parent of grown children I know I have raised them well and instilled good morals and standards in them. However, as grown adults I don't expect them to have grown up a copy of my standards. And....because they are adults I do respect their views and their space even if I may not agree.
As to what to tell her, I would continue to respect that she may not approve of things she may find, but would calmly and quickly answer in as honest and answer as you can...then quickly change the subject.
Mrs. Nice is sorry you have to make excuses and are having to be so careful!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nice

I would of told my mom straight up, but then again i have a very tight relationship with my parents so they wouldn't care as long as i'm not hurting myself or anyone else.
You should never be ashamed of yourself for exploring your body and finding out about how things work for you. I know you don't want to hear it but your parents have both gone through the same situation as you have, the toys have changed over the years but the have the same means.

"What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." Learn from your experience.
If"caught out" on something, be straight forward about it. Your mother may sympathize with you, depending on the circumstances or may lecture you, but you will get it over with and will not as I suspect you do now, feel guilty for fibbing to someone who cares for you.
Live, laugh and be happy.

Don't worry about it. It would have been better in my opinion if you hadn't lied but you don't have anything to be embarrased about (except the lying :) To be sexual is natural. And anything you do to enjoy your sexuality is ok as long as you don't harm anyone else.

Just drop it.. Don't bring it up past that point. My mom found mine and asked if it was something for my car (when I knew she knew what it was!!) , I laughed and never brought it up agian!

I think that you should have just told her, "Oops, I forgot to put it away." and left it at that. If my mother found one I don't think she's even say anything, she'd be more embarrassed than me.
