i dont cut my hair, cause last time i cut it, my hair went from pretty and curly, too really wavy (but not curly) and frizzy, and its just now going back to the way it was, so is there a way to get rid of split ends, and not get any more without cutting your hair?

this time just cut your hair a litle at the end.

Then apply lots of hot oil before shampoo every time. use a good conditioner for split hairs and use a mild shampoo.

It sounds to me like while the stylist was cutting your hair they texturized it ... which can leave a beautiful head of curly hair...frizzy and unmanageable. The texturizing is growing out and now you are getting the hair you had before...back. You do need to cut it every 6 weeks to prevent new split ends from forming. Buy a product called " Ego Boost" by Bed Head. and use a ceramic flat iron...I would suggest a CHI iron ( expensive, but well worth it) As you are sliding the iron thru your sections of hair go a little slower over the splits. The product seals the ends together until the next time you wash it. I would highly recommend you get with a stylist who knows your kind of hair and how to cut it. Keep getting consultations until you find the stylist who knows what she is doing. Some charge for consults ...so ask before you make an appointment.

cuting the ends off your hair should not have any thing to do with your hair going from curly to frizzy. did the person that cut it wash it an put some thing on it that could have cause this problem? i would go to some other's an ask them what may have cause that to happen. they should be able to look an feel your hair an tell you what they think. if you get your hair cut again just only cut about a half inch. but do go an talk to a couple of hair people.

This isn't what you want to hear, but nothing else is going to get rid of your splits. Get a regular trims. That is the ONLY way. Once the hair splits, there is nothing that is going to make it heal, it doesn't work like that.

There are all kinds of hair products that claim to do magic with split ends. These just temporarily 'glue' the splits together for a short time (as in, a few hours).

If that's ok with you, go for it, but it does not get rid of the split ends and your hair is just going to keep splitting and breaking off.

Just get frequent trims. If you get the splits cut, and then get 1/4" taken off every 8 weeks or so, your hair will grow back beautifully in no time.

If you use these rip off hair products, or FRY your hair with these straighteners or irons, your hair will keep getting worse.

Good luck!

I don't like "cutting" my hair either but because it gets so dry I have to trim it 1/2" every 4-6 weeks. I also use a spray in conditioner or some anti-frizz if it starts getting frizzy.

You can use a deep conditioning conditioner. Your hair needs moisture in it. When your ends start to split that means your hair is dry. If you do any blow drying or putting a lot of products in your hair you should probably give your hair a day or two rest so that it can get back in shape. The products take out that moisture. I hope I could help.

i know exactly what you mean. i have the same hair and condition A LOT. try not to shampoo too often and try to stay away from straightners. if you come across too many split ends a trim could be good. but make you specifically say just a trim. theres this brand called "mane n tail" i think and it has a picture of a horse on it. it works great and speed the growth too! i hope this helps.

theres no way to mend split ends, but you should get a trim. just a trim so you don't have to cut ur hair. tell the hairdresser you just want to cut your split ends only, and he/she will do that. so your length won't be shortened but the split ends will go away.

to prevent splits, deep conditioner once every week for 3-5 mins. (try neutrogena deep conditioner) and use conditioner everytime you shampoo. never use the blow dryer, straigthener, curler, etc. for more than 2x a week. and when you do, use a heat defence spray or cream. (try alberto's heat defence)

good luck

I wish, if you don't trim your hair regularly it won't grow and the ends will just continue to split. You have got to trim your hair every six weeks Why don't you try a perm if you want curls, that way you can have curly straight and healthy hair.

I would go in for a TRIM and have them do a deep conditioning treatment usually $10-$30 depending on where you go. Try a professional salon, not a chain salon like great clips. Those places always trash my hair too. A prof. can tell you what they think you need and usually will do a free consult.
