i don't know why exactly..it's the same with candy wrappers and other products - they think it is away to attract attention...it's wrong. the new yahoo is awful i will totally go to google if i cant opt out and keep the traditional page!

Some asshole is getting a promotion through it probably...it's always some pencil necked geek making things more difficult for the rest of us!

Because:
1) They've got tons of money
2) It's their website, and
3) They can do damned well what they want.
