I subscribe to Self magazine and one of the articles in a recent issue was about green tea. Green tea is very good for you and can promote health loss. Don't take green tea supplements however as you don't know what is in them. If you are going to use green tea as a weight loss method then you should drink a reputable brand. They also said in the article that if you start the day off with a glass of cranberry juice it raises your metabolism.

It will not make you lose weight.
However, if you drink green tea in conjunction with good nutritious food (eat every 3hrs) and daily exercise it can help accelerate the process.
Green tea is a healthy alternative to soda or coffee.

Nothing speeds up your metabolism except watching what you eat and exercising. Nothing! Drinking anything hot before a meal will give you a feeling of fullness, and therefore you will eat less. Drinking green tea won't help you any more than drinking a cup of hot water.

It's way better for you than pop. It has a lot of antioxidants, and the caffeine speeds your metabolism. I'm not sure if plain green tea has been compared to plain coffee, though. Adding sugar would of course be counterproductive.

I think they just tell you that so you will be suckered in to buying that junk. If you want to lose weight, you should just try walking, not drinking any pop, and quit eating after 8:00PM. That's the trick! And you will $ave money because you won't be buying pop or pigging out on your food at night.

So going from eating various fattening beverages to eating something that doesn't upload flab and easily boosts your metabolism might have an significant result.
