I have seen on TV that religious groups are protesting Talladega Nights because it is antiChristian. What was so bad that this movie is protested?

It's called hypersensitivity or as I like to call it, the Christian persecution complex.

the big stink on telledaga nights is that it makes fun of christianity. some people are just too sensitive. Oh and it has a gay frenchman in it.

the fact that christians were protesting it made it so much sweeter.
I wanted to see it even more after i heard it got bad reviews from a christian fundie.

I saw the movie last week. I didn't know that any groups were protesting the movie, but it did have strong homosexual content, and made fun of Christians and Jesus.
I really didn't like the movie at all, if you haven't seen it, you aren't missing anything. trust me!
as for the comment up above me, I am a Christian and I still hold on tight to my sense of humor... just ask anyone who knows me!

Will Ferrell's character Ricky Bobby includes his sponsors' product placement in family prayers. There's also the scene where he thinks he's on fire and calls out "Help me Jesus, Buddha, Tom Cruise!" It's meant to showcase Ricky Bobby's stupidity more than be sacriligious, I think.

Man oh man, can't they just let some things go. Its so silly. I heard they were making fun of some christian stuff but so what, its not like other relligions have not dealt with being made fun of. They need to learn to laugh at themselves.

I don't know, but from the trailers, the entire movie seems like a blaring example of satire of Southern Baptists.

Its a comedy - it seems many christians renounce their sense of humor.

I really don't know. I haven't seen it yet. But if it has Will Farrell in it, you can figure on it being stupid.
