It will drastically lower the property value. What you can do is start a petition to block them from building it if you don,t want it there. The more people and attention you get, the more likely your views on the issue are to be herd. Also you might want to check out a thing called immanent domain. Sometime the government can take your land and give you the value that they think its worth. However if it is a few miles away from your house it shouldn't be a problem. If you get enough attention then maybe you could work it out so they can buy your land in this deal. Over all it looks like your in for a battle if you don't want your property value to go down, and you don't want to move.

if someone escapes from prison there not going to the local neighborhood they will be on the run away from are. believe me i work in the prison house vaule will stay the same
