Try beathing exercises. Seriously, this really works. It's called Square Breathing. Breathe in for 4 seconds and hold for 4 seconds, release for 4 seconds and then hold for 4 seconds. Keep repeating. I have anxiety and this really works.....give it a try!

Do you feel nervous, have sweaty palms, or feel the end is near when you panic? One thing that works well is deep breathing exercises. Take a slow deep breath and count to ten, when you exhale, do the same thing, remember, real slow. Repeat three times, and then do three more sets. Close you're eyes when you do this, and try to do it in a quiet place. Anxiety is relatively easy to treat. Do you worry alot, excesssively? That can set off anxiety. Did something happen to you at night when you were really young? Yes, a therapist can help, good luck.

Sounds like anxiety. It may be that you are afraid of what is to come and going to sleep at night means you have to wake up to deal with whatever is scaring you in the morning. Anxiety doesnt always have a reason sometimes you just need to work past it. Ask your doctor for some pills to calm you at night. Or try to figure out what is really bothering you. Sometimes you just need to dig deep. Good Luck!

at first, when I started with my anxiety attacks I got all sweaty and the heart would go boom, boom, boom ! for no reason. when sleeping in bed. or Television, or the computer. It seems when I got used to it after 5-6 years it got better. & I found out it came from my keppra medicine. for ( seizures ) so the doc. cut it in almost 2 years ago now. it was all nonsense all that time. to much medicine, then I took Celexa med.& lorazapam. It was a lousy 6 years. all I had to do was cut my other meds. in 1/2. for seizures. listen to calm music, pip lip breathing helps, hold air for 3-4 seconds and let out slowly. if anxiety keeps lasting, ask doc. for medicines. good luck

Anxiety can happen any time. If you feel you are having probs then you can talk to your doc. They have simple questionnaires that you do that can answer these questions. You don't have to see a therapist....Try to avoid a lot of TV at night. Read a book or take a bath.....play a board game or cards with someone......deal with any stressful issues in the afternoon or morning if possible. I found that a cup of sleepy time tea or peppermint tea helps to bring me down...calms.....Your doc may prescribe you a mild tranq that you take at night.........you ll be fine......just don't get too worried over it or the stress will just make it worse.......its a vicious cycle......LOL Good luck..

Next time when you feel panicky and scared, be conscious and aware of your breathing patterns.
Do you only inhale halfway and not reaching the belly part?
Are your breathes short?

Breathing patterns and thought patterns are parallel.

Change your breathing patterns, and your thoughts are changed.

To help you relieve from the condition you're in, simply take long deep breathes.
Inhale,....hold, and count to ten. Then, breathe out, slowly and completely, until your belly tucks in, no more air. Repeat for at least 10 times. Relax and stop thinking anything.

If all else fails, you'll grow out of it, but lets not wait that long ... lets get over it tonight.

Tonight please try to look forward to it like you want it to come, keep looking for anxiety, look forward to whatever it is that you fear happening, expect it now, hurry .... what if it doesn't happen.
Oh God... want it, face it ... and after a few tries it will come no more.

With love, and believe me I know, You'll be fine ... you are good and not mentally Ill.

With grandpa's love;
Jonnie

since u're more into traditional medicines,try drinking a cup of warm milk/chamomile tea.just something warm will help u calm down.also,deep breathes can help alleviate the anxiety.if this doesn't help,then i think it's time for the doctors.
