Because they are very impulsive and just do what feels good to them without thinking about long term consequences. They tend to be selfish people, it's just part of the illness. They just think of themselves, no one else around them. It's all part of their instable mental state. Occurs during the manic phase.
A bipolar person in the manic phrase feels sexier, dresses sexier, wears more makeup. She's high on her own brain chemicals. She flirts more and is promiscous in the manic state.

Um, hey genius, bipolar people are likely to do all kinds of odd, wrong, even crazy things. Its part of the condition, they've got a screw loose that pops them into everything-but-normal mode.
Check the list. Some good, even great, people with bipolar, but then you've got freaks like Larry Flynt, porn publisher.

They cheat because they have no control or reasoning. Reality is non existent. It is astonishing to watch someone lose their mind. The only way I got through it is by knowing reality and who I am. It is not easy. If you have any insecurities, a manic person is not equipped to accommodate you. Who better to know, than oneself?

in their manic phase a bipolar person lacks impulse control and so they are more likely to become hyper sexed and cheat on their spouse.....the worst part is that the individual cannot always control their impulses and they feel very guilty for their behaviors when they regain their impulses at a later time. Unfortuately their spouses may not be well informed about the disorder.

bipolar people sometimes cheat because what it called mania when we r highly over stimulated n do things we normally wouldnt do if we were on meds

I don't think that bipolar people cheat on their spouses more than non bipolars. Are you not curious as to why other people cheat, or are you just wondering about a bipolar's reasons? I am sure that bipolar people and non-bipolar people would often have similar reasons for cheating on a spouse. Insecurity, feeling of emotional abandonment from the other spouse, boredom..etc. etc. etc.

It's been proven that people with bi-polar disorder have (at times) a higher than usual sex drive. But, that doesn't mean that that's why they cheated. If someone is bi-polar, they should be taking medication every day.....and not blaming their stupidity on their disorder.

Well, If being bi-polar is a person's excuse for cheating it sure is a sorry excuse because I'm bi polar I'm 22 year sold and I've been married to my husband for 4 years and I never once have cheated on my husband and I never even have thought about cheating on him I love my husband very much being bi polar you have different moods from time to time and get racing thoughts but if someone says their cheating due to being bi polar it's a excuse to try to get out of the trouble they would be getting in with their spouse you don't have to be bi polar to cheat on a spouse some people cheat because their not satisfied or they can't be committed or their just plain a asshole I myself see no excuse to cheat on a spouse if the person's relationship is boring their are always ways of spicing it up or if the person just doesn't love the person the person should be man or woman enough to tell them that and go their different ways

Because they are crazy, some of the worst crazy I've ever seen!!
They have no moral or common sense. It's not their fault, but if you are trying to love one that you aren't related to; RUN THE OTHER WAY!!
