Photoshop? What exactly is it? What all can you do with it?

Question

Like I want it to maybe put some pictures together to create one picture and put text on pics. Does photoshop allow you to do this?
What else does photoshop do?

photoshop lets you edit pictures. you could create a "canvas" and put whatever you want in there and you could also put in text. you can also search the internet for things to do in photoshop like making a picture of somthing look like it was drawn with a pencil or painted. the list goes on and on.

Photo shop is a wonderful software that allows you to manipulate photos in ways that most software can't handle. Have you ever tried Paintshop Pro? Photoshop is similiar but like PSP on steroids. I love Photoshop CS, you can do things like touch up photos, change the appearance of the texture, atmosphere and so much more in photoshop. Photoshop is the ultimate tool and used by almost every professional. It lets you change resolutions, file sizes, convert from one format to another, add textures, change colors globally, soften, sharpen, blurr, do special effects, do color separations for printing n 4 or 5 color ink by print shops. It lets you create transparent GIFs. You can crop, rotate, add text, add drawing elements over pictures such as circles, squares and lines. If you want something graphic and Photoshop doesn't do it, send an E-mail to Adobe and maybe it will in the next version!

Everything! It's probably the most versatile photo editing program ever. Layers allows you to put serveral parts of a picture and rearrage them and have different transparencies. Pretty steep learing curve...

use for photo editing and enhancing one's picture. you can add text and transfer one pic to another with smooth layout. a good editor can fake your pic and transfer your face on someone's body. there's a lot thing you can do with photoshop.

photoshop is one of the bestest programs out there, it will let u do all u want and more...it is alittle hard to use at first, kinda complicated but just keep playing and u will get it.

with ps u can add people to pics, delete them, change their eye colours, make excellent graphics, create web buttons its unlimited

i highly reccommend it !

it allows you to manipulate photos... for example, you can airbrush to make your skin look smooth, you can change the color, you can make a photo look like it was hand drawn, you can make a color picture blk/white, you can make a blk/white pic into color, you can do photo restoration, you can take away red eye, you can put together a collage... you can do ALOT with photoshop.
