I think what you are referring to is when in Revelation it is spoken of not being able to buy or sell and also things will be so bad that people will want to die so badly because of their misery that they will cry for the mountains to fall down on them and yet they will not die. I am not a bible scholar but you are correct in the references you have made other than I am not sure what you mean with having to wait until the new millennium to die and ascend to heaven. We are definitely experiencing the signs of the end of this age that are spoken of in the bible. I strongly suggest that you go to your christian book store and ask the clerk to help you find a good book written on the end times. There are many. It is a very lengthy and interesting subject. If you attend church you can also ask that your pastor have a series of sermons on this subject. I really feel that we need to have more preachers teaching the end times and what it all entails as we are in the midst of it. Be sure to have a bible close by when you are reading your new book so you can look up references yourself.

The Bible as it is translated says a lot of things that are not specific and are in generalities. So people who are in, or who are thinking they are in the KNOW, will interrupt these vague and generalities as giving clues of when the second coming will be.
There are many clues that have been interrupted as he will come back in this century and that currency is one of them. The wars and turmoil is another.
But I am sure the Bible didn't say exactly the time he will arrive.

It says in Rev 13:16-17 that he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
If that sounds like a one-world economy, then yes, if not, no.
However, the Bible does predict a corrupt economic ideology that will attempt to gain world-wide domination. We're in it right now.

No, but it does intimate that in the last days, we will live in a cashless society. We will all use numbers for our transactions. The one who controls the numbers, controls the world. Look around, how many transactions do you do daily or weekly involving just numbers? Pretty scary, ain't it?

no, i believe the passage says if one CURRENTLY becomes microchipped along with the rest of the sheeple, the lord would seriously consider sending an envoy from the 6th mansion of heaven to undo such dastardly goings on, did it not? :-)

No the Bible does not say that there will be one currency. There is a difference in the Lord appearing for the church and His second coming to earth to rule and reign.
The second coming of Christ is a prophesied event from the foundation of the world. It will happen after the great tribulation period that has also been prophesied.
Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Jude 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, Jude 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Christ returns as judge and King of Kings and Lord of Lords:
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Christ’s visible return to the earth to sit up his earthly kingdom and to redeem the Nation of Israel and to give the land to them that they had been promised from Abraham.
Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Zech 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
After his return to the earth, He will judge Israel and the Nations on the earth that have went through the tribulation period.
Matt 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: Matt 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
The rapture of the Body of Christ (the church) is not prophesied event kept secret before the foundation of the world. Christ’s invisible return in heaven to catch away the Body of Christ. This event is a mystery that has now been revealed but never prophesied about until it was revealed to the Apostle Paul.
I Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, I Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
I Thes 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: I Thes 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
After the rapture, the Body of Christ will be judged for our works done after we are saved. We will never answer for one sin because Christ paid for all our sins. The Body of Christ will inherit the heavens for that is our promise and the Nation of Israel will inherit the earth. Today there is no prophecy being fulfilled and will not be fulfilled until the Body of Christ is rapture out of this world.
II Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
