no offense, but an astronomer's opinion is pretty much worthless when it comes to evolution. his field is the stars, not genetics. that would be like person with a doctorate in psychology claiming to be qualified to perform surgeries.
evolution is just obvious. it doesnt require intelligence to recognize that it just IS.

I don't think they're necessarily unintelligent (although I'm sure there are some who are) - I think they don't have all the needed information, or, that they unreasonably value the wrong information. The fact is, most don't back their claims with the logic of Hoyle - they simply deny the science and rely solely on the words in a two-thousand-year-old text.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to believe that evolution happened - you just have to walk into a museum. Unless you think fossil evidence and vestigial anatomy is all some made-up conspiracy of almost every scientist in the world, (which is in itself a rather ridiculous claim), you don't have to be intelligent TO believe in evolution, or at least some form of it.
It merely comes down to where you place your values - not who's more intelligent.

what? okay... where did you get that the number of known atoms in the universe is 10^80? the universe is HUGE!!! it's so big that nobody's mind can probably comprehend it's massiveness. and yes, Darwin's Theory of Evolution is a THEORY with evidence that supports it. if it was proven, it would be called a LAW. i mean, jesus, this argument is so old. if your point by quoting this Sir Fred Hoyle is to prove that not all Christians who deny evolution are unintelligent, then fine, you proved your point; but those who call Christians unintelligent for denying evolution are bigots themselves because they aren't tolerant of the others' beliefs. no one who is willing to at least listen to your point of view is worth listening to or considering.

I agree.
It actually is more logical to me to believe in God than to not. When you look at Mount Rushmore with the Presidents' faces in it you can say "wow, that's amazing that errosion from the wind and water carved out faces on that mountain" Errosion is a scientific fact and would it be possible for errosion to leave faces on a mountain...sure, but is it the more likely conclusion? Probably not - I believe an intelligent designer carved our mount Rushmore.
Is it possible that one day there was nothing but a pool of elements then one day something spontaneously started living there? Maybe...but is it more likely that life was crafted by intelligent hand? I think so.

Because they have nothing else except insults. The evidence clearly points towards creation, everything they have believed and banked on is crumbling. It is a general rule in debating that when your opponent uses personal attacks, it means they are out of ammunition. Their guns are empty and they have nothing left but to try to drag you down.
And, no, the fossil record does not point to evolution at all. In fact, it refutes it.

why is an astronomer talking about biology? How is that good evidence. A garbage man I knew said that the moon must revolve around the sun. I would agree that the moon may be stinky but so is this idea.

The evolutionists are not willing to consider the possibility of a supernatural creation. They think this is "unscientific," even though many great scientists of the past were Christians who believed the Genesis account of creation.

They are retarded, and can't see past themselves and their religion.
Everything evolves, including germs, viruses, and bacteria. They evolve so quickly, they they are resistant to the drugs we use to combat them.
Check your math. The possibility that Earth can exist is

Now this equation is for intelligent life. Imagine if it were for just plants and animals.
What will the religious community say about NASA, if they find living organisms on a moon or planet within our solar system?

I do not know why people say that. Just like I do not know why people can not believe in both God creating life and the theory of evolution. Who are we to say that 24 hours is a day to God? Couldn't that just as well be 1,000,000 years to us is a day to Him?

They have closed minds even though they think they have open minds. They cannot understand the awesome greatness of God. In fact their so called 'open mind' is the wide road leading to hell, which many take.
God is light. The speed of light is incomprehensible to most of us. So the theories based in science etc, can't really be understood, without understanding that God himself is light!
