I have tennis tryouts next week starting Monday. Is there anything I could do that would help me during the running or something I could do the night before (i.e. eat something specific?) that would help me the next day? I heard eating a banana can help for cramping on your side during running? Any other help PLESAE?

Eating a banana daily will help with cramps, one does alittle, but to eat one a day would be best.
Before a run-the night before loading up on carbs is good, energy for the next day. Spaghetti, or breads, rices. I have runner friends who do this quite often before a run. Take some gatorade for electrolytes too the day of your run.

Try running a little bit each day until then - take Sunday off. If its a one time running 'trail' try loading up on carbohydrates the night before - pasta, bagle, raisins, yogurt - all that high energy stuff. This is a strategy just for one day though (monday) - if its constant throughout the season there is just one way - GET IN SHAPE!

stretch before bedtime.. drink gatorade before bed time..
when getting up take a cold shower.. do some stretchs. eat a banana and a granola bar for breakfast. put on a comfy pair of socks. but not thick ones.. leave home with a positive attitude and you'll do just fine...

Talk some pain reliever so you can't feel it but you should really practice!
