Avoid tying your hair up or leaving it braided for extended periods, especially at night, as it leads to breakage. Brush often but gently starting from the bottom of the hair and gradually working your way up, with a round or rounded brush so it is easier to get it unstuck. Fish oil dietary supplements are available to strengthen both hair and nails, or you could just introduce more fish into your diet.

Eating more protein helps with hair and nail growth. One other cool thing to know (although I think you are a guy?)....is that taking prenatal vitamins make your hair and nails go crazy.

Hair and nails grow from what's left after your body takes its nutrients from what you eat and drink. If you are not getting enough vitamins and minerals your hair and nails will not grow as quickly.

Okay, so here's an odd one. If you can get a hold on birth control pills, place them all in between a paper bag. Then, with a hammer, carefully grind them into powder. Once they are in powder form, you put them in your shampoo, shake the bottle, and begin use.

It works, honest.

Hope that helps. If it works for you (it worked very well for me!), don't forget about me...
