Honestly I've never heard of anyone naming their child "nasty" or "crap" and I'm pretty sure it's not in any of the common baby naming books published these days. Now, as for a child being given two middle names, my youngest son has two middle names. His name is Hayden Michael Lee. Hayden after a doctor I worked with who I greatly admired, Michael because that is my husband's middle name and Lee because that is my father's middle name. Those names are of course rather normal, but my cousin named her kid Dylan Gage Chance. Now that will cause him problems later in life, but her husband absolutely demanded they name the child Chance after some obscure uncle. Then another cousin named her kid Gunnar and then there's Chase. What ever happened to David, Andrew and Mitchell? I really don't believe that "nasty" and "crap" are on your birth certificate, but if your mother uses it commonly when speaking to you, it probably means that your bedroom is in rather poor condition, or your restroom has been left without a scrubbing. Either way, I'd say clean up your act, or you're earning the name.

My cousin had a friend whose parents were stoned when he was born and named him Tuna Sandwhich (later changed).
I understand on some cases, but Nasty Crap? I'd never do that. I'm all up for unique names and multiple middle names, but not for something that cruel. I'd do something like Hadriana Marseilles Kaeren Lothleri Aeryn Dimatra Caski, but that's distinctive, and some can pass on just odd spellings of common names or shortened into a normal nickname, like Cas.
...
Then again, I'm a few fries short a happy meal so I'm probably not one to answer. No one ever likes my pet names. What's wrong with Mordecai for a snake?

I actually have a very common name, as does my husband. Causes for a great deal of confusion, even in my family. We gave our children some very nice common names - just not as popular as my name. I did hear the story of a woman who after giving birth heard someone say something about a vagina - she thought that was a very popular name and wanted to name her daughter that - it took 3 nurses and 2 doctors to talk her out of that name - it seems the woman was poorly educated and did not know what a vagina was. I think people giving hideous names to their children are just trying to be original in naming and don't realize what the consequences are going to be for the poor child later when they get to school. When you are 18 you can change your name legally and lose those two middle names that you hate.

Because it makes their kid really unique.
Two middle names are okay acutally. I have two but one has a religious meaning and one is from my mom's side of middle names. I think they are cool, but I never use my religious name with my whole entire name. It's really tacky, I think.
