Disc Replacement in spine-- how long was recovery?

Question

It looks like I may need a disc in my neck replaced or fused (C5, C6).
Has anyone had either procedure?
Either one better than the other?
What was the final cost? (We have 90/10 insurance, than goodness.)

I have had a fusion but it was in my lower back. Mine took several months but that was put in a body cast and that was over 15 years ago.
