Why do I have this feeling that the fence is turned off most of the time when you, on a Friday night, after a nice relaxing shower and a yummy spagetti dinner, wander in your jammis to the back door with your binoculars and an ice cream sandwich, and upon spotting the collection of felines lounging upon the hot plate, throw the switch just to see them dance? You are one sick Bastard...cats are NOT naturally inclined to dance and to force them to do so for your own sick pleasure is unspeakably cruel. The least you could do is pay them for their time. Sheesh!!!!!

They will learn eventually. Key word: EVENTUALLY! Either the pain or the consistancy of the pain will get them to stop. Try to get them something similar, they probably like how it is positioned. Maybe that is why THEY are consistant. Just be patient, it might take a while.

maybe the shock is causing them to suffer some sort of memory damage. im not a cat person, but i find that cats do learn, they just tend to only respond to what they feel serves their interests.
